Si lo tuyo es la literatura tipo James Joyce, este libro es para ti. Interesante para conocer la historia del Dr. Francia en Paraguay. Muy buena edición pero el libro es sumamente denso para un lector común y corriente.

Es el título que elegí, edición de hace unos años. A pesar de que no tenía cubierta de celofán, llegó en muy buen estado y en el tiempo pactado. La obra en sí muy buena, es parte de una colección de ediciones especiales.

A difficult read but worth the effort. Roa Bastos inhabits the very soul of the 19th Century Paraguayan dictator who is the subject of his novel. In so doing he provides food for thought on the ability of dictators to hold whole nations in thrall. Of interest to aficianados of the historical novel and those who respond to psychological and political elements in fiction.
