This is updated model to replace our "Big Tex" dump trailer charging system. Prior owner mounted lead/acid battery too close to charger,causing corrosion to destroy the charger. We are installing a battery box to minimize acid fume corrosion effect on charger,wiring and steel mounting box.

Really good Charger/Maintainer. I use it on my dump trailer. I installed it in the pump box on my trailer, and when I'm done, I plug it up, leave it, and it fully charges my battery when I'm ready to go the next day.

I bought a new boat that had one of these factory installed. It lasted less than two years and just quit. I bought the 2nd on off Amazon and it made it 13 months. I've got a 5 amp charger/maintainer from Harbor freight now thats older than both and I paid 30$ for it. No brainer for me. The harbor freight doesn't advertise that it's water proof and doesn't have mounting holes on it, but It's water resistant and I can figure out how to mount it or tuck it away. Don't waste your money.

Perfect replacement for my Big Tex dump trailer. I'm not sure what happened to the first one but I have a crew that's tuff on equipment. This bolted right in. I have a feeling I should have bought more. Now I have a place to return to in the future.
