No hay artículos en el carroThe Proxxon 38704 workstation with electronic speed control comes in a compact Noryl casing (material is heat-resistant, recommended for transformers) and has a capacity of 5-Amp at 16-Volt no load, and 12-Volt under load = 60VA (DC). Primary supply at 110-120-Volt. The thyristor electronic control (with feedback) allows for optimum tool speed and high torque t low speeds. The workstation offers three polarized sockets for Micromot machines, so that three different tools can be plugged in at a time. In addition, the unit features one pair of sockets for standard banana plugs with 5/32 inch (4 millimeter) diameter. It provides a master switch for turning off the transformer without needing to unplug. The red LED indicates ready. A positive temperature coefficient (PTC) element guarantees protection against overload; the plugged in machine will not restart automatically. After cooling down, the AC wall plug should briefly be unplugged to reset the adapter. The unit comes in a very compact and practical design with storage holes for insert bits and cutters with shafts of 3/32 inch and 7/64 inch (2.35 and 3 millimeter). The foldable tool rest keeps the Micromot tool ready for being used and standing by safely. Tool and accessories are not included.

You only know you need something like this once you do. I needed a pen sander, and Proxxon delivered. Value for money! Unfortunately, it needs this behemoth of a transformer to work. That is Great, though, because you can hook up three tools simultaneously, which is even better! I only have one tool right now, but I'm looking at the rotary tool next. It's a little pricey, but I lucked out and got a used version. I LOVE the power adjustment as well. Excellent stuff.

After trying four other supposedly powerful "manicure type machines", to help me with the lighter duty tasks to make small metal tool tips to sell, they all failed to stand up to regular use over time. The Proxxon tool is the first one that easily does the work I need with no overheating or bogging down.I use this transformer along with the Proxxon 28500 12-Volt Rotary Tool Micromot 50 and the Proxxon 38700 Foot Switch. With the speed control of the transformer along with the foot switch, it makes controlling the speed of the handset even easier.I thought I would save money by buying a cheaper machine, then had to replace it more than once. I guess I got what I paid for. The power of this set up and the dependability of the Proxxon name more than makes up for the modest price difference, after getting a great deal on Amazon. I think this will be the last small rotary machine I will need to buy for my business.Added comment on 12-25-13 ...I've been using this machine for well over a year now and it's still just as dependable and powerful as on day one.
