Purchased three different Quikrete colors and blended them with regular pre-mixed cement poured into in dollar-store cake pans to test various color mixtures. I the end I blended two colors based on wife's likes. However instead of coloring cement, I used the a Quikrete colorant blend to color much more expensive Ardex engineered (cementacious) topping. Well there was a difference in the base color of the regular pre-mixed cement and the Ardex. Therefore, the end result with colored Ardex was different than the color tests with regular cement---but it was close enough. For one type of Ardex topping, the color was just perfect, even a better color than the results of the cement's color test; for a different topping, the result was good-nuff, color wise. Note 1: the Quikcrete is a very strong color, so protect yourself with old clothes, and protect your surroundings with newspaper, cardboard, or drop cloths. Note 2: the colorant in the plastic bottle needs to be shaken vigorously for quite some time to suspend all the colorant.. Then you also need to get a long, thin, ice-tea-type spoon to scrape the colorant from the bottom of the bottle. Whatever mixing method you use, make sure you do it the same for each bottle, so you don't get different color batches!

Worked great. I am making steepiing stones for the. Backyard. This gives it a nice color other the color of concrete. Bought a few different colors to color different areas

These items was exactly what I was looking for. The colorant bonded in the concrete very well. The molds are very sturdy.
