I'm a rideshare driver. I designed my own Lyft and Uber graphics on their app. It's not HARD to do, but it is kind of convoluted. Expect an app that would get 35 stars on Google Play. The signs themselves are alright.. I bought 3, one to replace one of the original 2 that I bought. It had problems from the beginning. Discoloration, missing pixels, etc. But one day a big red bar just went right through the screen and stayed there. The replacement is fine. Again, I noticed problems with the first one right out of the box. Also, DO NOT use any other 12v lighter adapter other than the one they give you. These things draw A LOT of power, and didn't work right even on my 3.8A adapter. And don't plug anything else into it, just the sign. 1 sign per adapter. They don't work correctly otherwise. When they're slightly underpowered, they start to have problems. Bluetooth stops working, colors out of balance, etc, just don't do it. Use the thing they give you if you're in a car, or plug it into a wall outlet adapter if not. IMO, these should be about 49.99 and I would still think I'm getting kinda ripped off. But I did end up buying 3 of them bc they're the best you can get at the consumer level in a flexible window sign. When they're working right, the colors are great actually. You kinda stop seeing them in bright and direct sunlight, but on an overcast day you can easily still see them. Also, most of the animations they advertise did not work. You design it on the app, then it Bluetooth flashes it over to the unit. Well once it gets on the unit, depending on the complexity of the design and animations, it will either not work at all, or not work entirely.

The amazon generated section of the page saying that THIS ITEM was an improved version of another of their products wasn't quite right. This is a more feature-enabled product, but it is a different use case than vehicles (which is what I was actually looking for). It's not quite bright enough for a factory tinted vehicle back glass in daylight hours, but it is designed for indoor use or in shop windows where an awning hides the daylight glare. The active area is only 3.75" x 22.5", so it is not the advertised 5" x 27" - which is the total size of the item, with a widely inset active area. The power consumption is low, I ran it off my jumpstart battery pack and that still had 50% after running all day. The app desperately needs a landscape rotation mode for graffiti creation - like the version of the app for the not full color item. The app needs to allow for setting a template size so that designing can be performed and saved when not in BT range of the device. The app needs an export/import function to be able to "share" creations without having to put privately-owned logos on the app's public cloud. Don't bother with the Gameloop use of the app on PC, there's no way to BT to the device from there, plus not being able to set size and privately share as already mentioned. You can AnyDesk to your phone from PC for an easier graffiti experience. If it had a 1/3 tighter pixel pitch it would be very useful for photo images, the necessary pixel density vs size isn't quite there with this version at any distance. Does this item have a lot of good going for it, yes. While not intended for in/on vehicle advertisement, it is a really cool bit of signage, could be used as a notification board inside a business.

First one had a bad pixel Returned it. Found that this will not be bright enough for daylight use in an auto or outdoors. The app (SPOTLED) could use some smartening. Much of the included art graffiti is nonsense, but it is possible to import art in the 96x16 format and get it to work, which the other prominent app (COOLLED1248) doesn’t do. The SpotLED app also supports multiple fonts. CoolLED1248 does not appear to have that feature.
