There is only one issue that isn't the device it self. You may need an audio isolator on the device that plugs into this. I will say it does have a great audio range for a little device. I do wish it has a little more bass on it but for the size I'm not going to complain.I do have bigger amplifiers that just put off heat and with these I can't tell if there is even a fraction of heat as they are enclosed in a wall, and even when I pulled it out to redo a wire to clean everything up I didn't feel anything to be alarm about.I will say I'm actually looking at getting a few more as my kids growing up they do want Bluetooth for there devices. The only thing that I do wish is that you could rename the device Bluetooth name.

I'd say this little amp is suitable for lightweight applications where high fidelity is not to be expected. That is, when hooked up to 8" 3-Way speakers, I was not overly impressed by the quality of the sound. She struggled a bit to drive those cones. But for background music coming from some 6" 2-Way speakers installed in a ceiling or wall in an office somewhere I'd say this amp is well suited for that application.I originally hesitated before ordering this amp because it wasn't clear that this amp could be 100% wired from behind. I wasn't keen on seeing the power supply coming from behind the cover plate to plug into the front. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that you could hard wire the power supply to the board and in fact, you can cut the cable on the provided power supply to do so, as shown in the photos. The connector for the speaker wire will accept a 16ga wire but I wouldn't try to go any thicker than 16. You'll have a hard time getting the wire into the little hole. This should probably be an indicator that this amp wasn't designed to drive a large speaker. If this connector was rotated 180 degrees so the wires would enter from the rear the speaker wires would not be laying on top of the circuit board and making this connection would be much easier.Bluetooth was spot on - no hassles there. The LED lights need a dimmer. They're too bright. I would hesitate to install this amp in direct line-of-sight of the TV.That being said, I would recommend this little guy for the application I mentioned (soft background music). For home stereo listening through large speakers, not so much.

I bought this to connect wired speakers in the ceiling to an Alexa Pop (bluetooth). I also installed an outlet with USB C PD ports that support 12V. I connected this unit to the outlet using a USB C to USB C cable with a 12 Volt trigger adapter (USB C to 5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel connector).I connected the bluetooth using the Alexa app. There were no problems connecting. The sound is clear and so far there's no noticeable latency. The ports to connect the speaker wires are pretty small and positioned so that the wires connect from the center of the circuit board. I would have used larger connectors an positioned them to connect from the opposite side. It was a minor inconvenience.I had to use the face plate that came with the unit. The standard plate that was on the unit I was replacing didn't quite fit. It was just a little too tight. Once again, this was a minor, but unexpected inconvenience.I would by this product again.

I have a covered porch that I wanted to add some speakers to for music while we sit outside and enjoy. This unit fits into a single gang box so I picked up a wall mount surface box from Home Depot and connected some conduit to run my wires. I mounted a couple speakers outside and ran the wires down the conduit and into my new box. I then used a piece of 18awg speaker wire for the DC power and ran that into the conduit also. I soldered the power wire onto the black and red power wire connector that came with the device and plugged in into the back position. I then connected my speaker wires to the screw down terminals on the back which accepted the 18-gauge wire. Next, I run my power wire to a plug for connection and cut off the connector so I could solder onto my wire extension that would power the controller. I finished everything up by taping and sealing my connections and proceeded to power on the system for the first time. The volume know serves to turn on and off the unit as well as adjust the volume control. You select your source from the front by switching the toggle for Bluetooth, Aux and Mic. On first startup and in BT (Bluetooth) mode the device enters pairing automatically. Open your phones Bluetooth settings and look for your new controller. Pair up and you’re ready to go. Pairing is easy and my friends can pair their phones to my system and play from their phones as well. The aux is straight forward 3.5mm connector but you’ll need to have a cable for this as it doesn’t come included. There’s also a mic connector on the front and I haven’t used it yet but we’re thinking about having a karaoke night soon and I’ll use this to connect a mic and let my friends sing so my neighbors can judge. Haha. Anyways the system works well and gives plenty of volume so we can enjoy music outside now when my friends come over or if I’m just outside chilling on my own
