Only receives will not transmit. The transmit does not connect to Coax or optical even though the connectors are present. It does receive and connect quickly. At turn on the announcer is at full volume no matter where the volume is set at. Allows me to return it but I have to waste my time and gas for a defective item. The return should be picked up at no cost to me. Customers should never pay a penny forthe return of defective items. Make sure your product works before you ship it. Or have it picked up at no cost to the customer.

I using this to feed my phono pre amp to my stero receiver. It works great. I haven't tested how far the single reaches yet. At the moment it's handling 18 ft no problem. Only had it one day so I can't speak to its longevity.Connecting was a challenge until I turned off some competing devices. This old man would appreciate larger print instructions but with magnification they where good.

Pros:- Bluetooth unit looks great, small sleek shiny black with tgb lighting and clear buttons- Multiple ways to connect (I connected to a tv so that I can use bluetooth headphones to listen) and includes some cables- Lighting and effects can be turned off if you don't want them- Bluetooth connection was made easily with my Bose headphones and I started getting audio right away, phewCon:- The only con is that there is a slight audio lag, so if you are watching and listening at the same time, the audio won't exactly match up and on the tv you'll see people's lips moving ever so slightly ahead of the audio.If you tend to watch tv while doing other things and aren't strictly paying attention to what's happening on the screen, then this unit works great for allowing you to do so with bluetooth headphones. It's nice when you need to leave the room for a minute, but you wanted to keep following along with what's happening on the tv.I haven't tried this with a different set of bluetooth headphones, so I don't know if that would make a difference. Maybe? Overall, I was very happy with how easy it was to set this up and successfully get it in use.

This Bluetooth Receiver and transmitter is super cool because it does have a switch on it to switch between receiving audio and transmitting audio over bluetooth. This also has an optical port which can be kind of hard to find on devices like this. The display on the top is showy and nice looking. The whole thing is slick in the nice little box. The devices connect to it easily without problem. I'm not 100%, but I think two of these might be able to be used, with one in transmitting and the other in receiving, to put an audio signal over a short bluetooth distance. Not sure why anyone would want to do that, but it could probably be done theoretically.The reason I got this because a similar device I already have had about quarter to half a second of lag between when the sound would happen on the TV and when it would be heard in the headphones. The headphones I have are using bluetooth 5.2 and the old transmitter was using bluetooth 5.0. I thought the upgrade to 5.3 might get rid of the lag. It did not. This has the same lag as the old bluetooth transmitter I was using.

I was looking for a rechargeable battery-operated device to add USB capability to my vintage stereo system. This device really surprised me, as it does much more. I had already added Bluetooth capability to my system, but this is easier to operate and has better coverage. I ended up using both the optical and coaxial settings, which give me more options for my current hi-fi set-up. The manual is thorough and clear (although the print could be larger!). If you have trouble setting the unit up (you shouldn’t, it is so easy), just read the manual carefully as there is so much info in it. The only real quirk I found was that out of about a dozen old usb flash drives that I tried with mp3s on them, three did not work, even though they work fine on my computer. So, the device may be a little fussy. This is not a deal breaker especially since the three drives in question are old and have been reformatted many times, which may have something to do with it. This unit is quite easy to use, and I don’t think at this price point you are going to find anything that does as much as well, certainly not a device that has a rechargeable battery and is so compact!
