I disliked how I waited almost a month for my sub to arrive and how the amp shorted out within 3 days. Then decided to order another one and after a week I gave it one more day to see if bazooka direct would take my money for my purchase. It took so long in fact that I was thinking I did something wrong so canceled the order on a passive tube and it’s been almost three business days they still haven’t event accepted the purchase. It was mid sept when I purchased this passive sub tube the third time. Now they estimate delivery oct 25th . When I returned the preamp marine sun it took 7 days for bazooka direct to get their defective junk back. Now they are taking their sweet a— time . I do not recommend this horse charade. I might just cancel the order again and buy a Keenwood dvc sun and built my own ported rectangular cave. This is pretty wack I loved how the sub sounded for three days. Did I mention I have to wait over a month now for Amazon to refund my 366. You’re welcome for my loan. Here it is I don’t recommend the pre amp sub woofer. The housing is awesome I recommend putting an alpine in it and trying to sell the bazooka speaker. Oh yeah expect delays. They now say previous expected delivery on my last purchased passive bazooka sub tube is oct 18th but it’s like now oct 13 . They sit there and say Oct 25 then was expected 18 and don’t mention originally 10-25-23 and casual playfully say the 13th it’s now the fourth and it hasn’t been shipped. I live in Hawaii this product is coming at least 3000 miles on a boat because it weighs 18 pounds. And is 18’ so yeah right. The 13th lol …well see

Ok so first off I definitely was sceptical about how good of bass this thing was gonna have and the fact that it was 500 bucks but I was not disappointedSo my package was lost and I had already been waiting for 2 weeks called amazon and they shipped a new one out right away which I got in a couple of days,no big dealI currently had a 10 sub with a 500 watt amp in my 4 seater side by side but the sub was starting to frap out a bit and had a not very clear bass sound anymore but it was super loud and did pound so I was really curious to see if this bass tube was going to come close seeing as it’s less wattageAnd it was not a marine sub and the amp was mounted to the back of the box, not ideal for a lot of ,Moisture and the amount of water holes I take my side by side on......So anyways Hooked the bass tube up and wow..... very impressed and the bass is very clear and deep, and is way louder than my other setupDefently one of my better phurchases on amazon and I’m super happy with it!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're a Jeeper, this is a must. I have a 2009 2Dx with a soft top. I am a music junky, so all of my tunes have to be crisp, clear, and every tone heard. For anyone with a Jeep, you know that lower end sounds are tough to get with the stock speakers and no factory sub. One of the first 'mods' that I did was upgrade the sound bar speakers. Boy, did that make a difference. I knew I wanted a sub, and the fact that this is waterproof, just makes it all the sweeter. You don't have to worry about taking off the top and have unexpected showers. Last week I took the rig out with no doors and no top. Throughout the course of the day, we had over 4" of rain. I drove around town with a friend wearing snorkels and dive masks, while still blaring my tunes.Top down? Not a problem. You can still hear the bass crisp and clear. (Obvious loss in sound due to the lack of enclosure and road noise, but still very present)If you decide to get a bass knob for volume control, do some research. If you have an aftermarket head unit, odds are it has subwoofer control right at your fingertips, and the $30 for a bass knob is wasted money. If you DO decide to get one, make sure the connection from the wire of the knob to the sub itself is a "telephone jack" type connection. NOT the headphone jack type. I made that mistake.HUGE basketball "punch" sound. It's clean, no overtones or vibrations. Easy install, and no problems so far.

After installing & enjoying this over the weekend, I felt compelled to write a review, as most of the others talked of using on pontoon and/or other open bow boats. Although they were all favorable reviews, I was concerned this might not be enough for use in a cabin cruiser, but took a chance (and sure glad I did). This thing BUMPS and is more than enough (always want to be able to say that instead of pushing it to the limit, right?) for a cruiser (mine's on a Sea Ray 280DA). The output level on the sub is at 1/2, my filter is set at 80Hz, the head is giving it a strong but low input volume and it shakes the entire boat. Granted, every hull design is different and what sounds good on my boat may sound different than someone else's, but this sub was made for mine. Can't say enough about how good it sounds. I'm listening to a lot of different styles, but all have strong beats, bass drums and even bass synth (Taurus pedals on Rush songs sound incredible!). I mounted this along the starboard side of the mid-cabin so it's in a carpeted, cushioned-all-around, closed space with the woofer about 4" away from a corner (as recommended). You can feel it everywhere. If you have a cruiser or larger boat and debating on this or the 250-watt model, my suggestion is to try this first. It doesn't drain the battery and gives all the bass most would want or need. Highly recommended!

7/15/2012 I have to say the reviews I read on this made me think Ok this should do it but I had to hear it for my self. Last night mission accomplished, I had no idea. This thing is absolutely amazing and it thumps. Anyone who wrote a bad review is either deaf or works for a competitor. The power and bass u can hear and feel is sick. I have been wanting this and wish I had it sooner. My boat is a 1987 22 ft sea ray cuddy cabin, the main cockpit is very spacious I put the sub under the front passenger seat. I was worried the sound may be lost under the seat, but honestly the sound quality is still very good and fills the boat nicely. Another added bonus, is that there is a green LED light near the gain and crossover which surprisingly provided enough light to adjust the settings on the water in the darkMy system consists of a pioneer head unit 50watt x 4. I do not have an amp running the speakers which are theSPS-M600 - Alpine 6.5" 110 Watts 2-Way Marine Speakers, (I reviewed those as well) I have four of these on the pioneer head unit. Once I added this tube the increase of overall sound quality and volume is tremendous. I agree with bazooka I was missing 30% of my music. I adjusted the bass mid and treble on the head unit then tweaked the bass tube to fill the low end sound out and presto! My system has never sounded better. This was exactly what my boat needed and I am not disappointed. Btw I listen to metal, death metal, techno, rap, dance etc. It all sounds good!!!!!BTW I posted pics as well!
