Paso 1: saca tu vieja parrilla.
Para comenzar a sacar la vieja rejilla de filtro de aire de retorno, abre la puerta de la rejilla y, si es posible, separa la puerta por razones de seguridad.
Paso 2: desenrosca y desmonta el marco.
Desabrocha los tornillos que mantienen el marco en su lugar en la pared o el techo, y desmonta cuidadosamente el marco. En caso de que estés trabajando en una instalación de techo, asegúrate de asegurar el marco/rejilla/filtro para evitar que se caiga y garantizar tu seguridad.
Paso 3: toma las medidas correctas
Mide la abertura del conducto (el agujero en la pared/techo) midiendo primero el ancho y luego la altura (por ejemplo, 24 pulgadas de ancho x 12 pulgadas de alto), este es el tamaño que debes pedir.

Comprender las medidas:
Mide siempre el tamaño de la abertura del conducto (el "agujero" en el conducto/pared). No midas todo el tamaño del registro. Cada rejilla tiene un marco de cubierta frontal, que se superpondrá en la junta de pared. El tamaño exterior completo de la rejilla es; tamaño indicado +2 5/8 pulgadas. En un tamaño de rejilla, el primer número siempre representa el ancho y el segundo es la altura. Como ejemplo: Si el agujero en tu pared/conducto es de 8 pulgadas de ancho por 32 pulgadas de alto, pide la opción de 8 x 32 pulgadas. Si el agujero es de 32 pulgadas de ancho por 8 pulgadas de alto, pide la opción de 32 x 8.

Just what I needed. My husband had bought the wrong size when we bought this house 3 years ago and it looked weird, I finally got around to ordering this and it looks much better. I didn’t realize I would no longer be able to utilize the filters I had recently bought though.

Installed on the return side of my furnace, has cut down drastically on dust in the house, great quality and fits as it should

It works. Used a little different. Attached to side of old furnace for easy filter install.Latches could be easier but I liked that they are metal

I bought this to replace an old return grille on our upstairs hallway ceiling. The previous owner installed the return grate without properly anchoring the screws to the ceiling, so mounting the old one back on became a very tedious and frustrating task. I bought this one because I wanted the convenience of not having to remove the grille every time we had to replace a filter.This fit perfectly. I ended up using my own wall anchor screws to properly mount it on the ceiling, but the added bonus was having holes to reinforce the grille to the metal ducting on the inside. It also came with a MERV 8 filter, which was great since I bent the other filter in my frustration. You're able to remove the door and reverse it if needed, which made mounting an absolute breeze. I will definitely be buying a smaller one for our downstairs return.

This was received quickly, in excellent condition and I was able to install it without too much difficulty. The item had a slight over-extension in the metal edge at top of the inside frame (maybe 1/16 inch) (and at bottom so could not reverse) so I had to hammer the edge down in order to fit into my space, which also had an overlap of metal facing around the hole. I was able to bend the inside frame enough to get it in successfully and without damage. Other than that issue, it was an easy install and I love that i no longer have to unscrew the register cover to replace the filters. The unit seems sturdy enough for the task - and it even came with a filter! My existing filters fit fine.
