I primarily use this tool to remove staples from my upholstery projects and the pointed fork prongs help me in digging under the material and wood underneath the staple and once I’ve got the fork under the staple just a simple prying action and out comes the staple. This sure beats me using a sacrificial slotted screwdriver to undo a bunch of staples. This tool makes it easier and quicker to remove staples. While this tool works well I’ve noticed that the pAint or finish on the prying fork is already wearing off. All in all this is a good staple remover that makes my upholstery work tear down easier.

Just one slip and you might find yourself with a gash in a finger do to that screw driver popping off the top of a staple while you are applying force in order to get it up. After looking at this device, I cannot imagine having a lot of difficulty getting those tightly embedded staples up. It will not only make it easy to get under one of those bad boys, but the slight bend in the unit allows for a lot of leverage when you attempt to pop the staple up. Nothing here to disappoint.
