Easy to clean, compacted down for storage and lid has a strainer in the lid. Enjoy the small storage needed for this pot for camping.

This is a nice, sizeable pot that folds down enough to take up very little space in a backpack. Since we're not planning a camping trip any time soon, I tested it out on the kitchen (gas) stove. The directions make it clear that the flame can't extend past the metal bottom, and that makes sense. The silicone can't take the heat of a direct flame.I boiled some water in it and checked the pot afterwards. It was in perfect shape and folded down again easily. The handles, however, were warmer than expected, considering that it's silicone, so you should expect to use some sort of potholder with this--yes, even in the wilderness. The pot's top is plastic, so I wouldn't try covering whatever you're cooking while it's on the flame. It's more of a strainer for liquid after cooking is complete. And obviously, if you can't use it on a gas burner when the flame extends beyond the metal bottom, you shouldn't try using it on an open campfire. It will work nicely on top of my Kelly Kettle hobo stove, and is equally suited for a propane camp stove. What's nice is that, because it's mostly silicone, it will mostly be easy to clean when you camp, which you can't say about all-metal camp pots.

I’m obsessed with this pot that I ordered recently. It may not look the greatest but it is so amazing. It’s super light thanks to the silicone and very easy to clean. It literally folds down for storage, travel or limited cupboard space. It’s extremely functional and my favorite feature are the holes in the lid to drain water or let out steam. You can cook your pasta and drain the water with the existing lid without having to dirty another dish!! Such a great buy!!

We owned a sea to summit collapsible pot for 5 years before the silicone finally pulled away from the metal bottom. Sea to summit doesn’t make this style anymore so I looked for a quick replacement without reading the reviews first. I’m glad I didn’t because I can only assume user error on the bad reviews. This pot does not burn, cooks evenly, has a convenient strainer on the lid, and compacts nicely to fit into our small space.Even if it only lasts 2 years it was half the price we paid for our original pot and a third of the price for the new sea to summit version.
