Very poor quality and our dog enjoyed them for short time and easy breaking down for small pieces.Overpriced.

These are the best rawhides I have found. I have two Shepherds that are aggressive chewers and the rolls haven’t caused any stomach issues. I take them away when they get too small but they don’t break off with sharp edges. They just become tiny soggy pieces when they tear them apart. I put them in a hole that goes through a very heavy rubber ball that is about 5” across and indestructible. It isn’t easy to get it in the hole because it is so tight but it makes the rawhide last a lot longer. The dogs hold the ball in their feet. Works great. Very pleased with the quality. Zero smell or mess. Please don’t change the quality like everything else does!

I have been purchasing these dog chews for several years now and would have given a 5 star. But, they used to be a thick 1-inch or better round bone 7 to 8 inches long. Now, due to downsizing, the bones are smaller in thickness loosely wrapped or twisted. In comparison with others chews, they are still considered in the 1-inch thickness, again loose wrapping, as the other manufactures have probably been doing the same in this economy. So, not as a great value as before and are a bit more price than others. I still purchase them for our dogs because they do like them. I just have to purchase them more frequently because they can chew them quicker due to less material to chew. It would take them more than a week before to finish a chew. I have medium size dogs. We like the natural color because colored bones could stain carpets or rugs. So, come on, Golden Chews make them back like you did before and be a great value. I do recommend these, but there are less pricey ones out there.

Dogs get tired of the same old stuff. So I wet them, soak in peanut butter water and bake a bit, stuff with peanut butter, hotdogs (occasionally), shredded chicken, soak in hamburger drippings and bake, so many ways to enhance them when you’re dogs turn their noses at them. Puppies, medium-extra large, can eat one a day if you let them. Some Veterinarians are just coming out saying that these rawhides are bad for dogs. I live out in the country and woods. They drag hides home often and eat all of it, fresh, rotten, dry and everything in between! But it’s not processed.
