I've been buying RETTACY journal notebooks since April 2021. I used to really like them and I've left reviews on past notebook purchase that were quite positive. I loved the consistently high paper quality back then and found the notebooks to be a really great value. Sadly, the quality of their notebooks has declined and been inconsistent over the last year or two.I bought this same set of B5 notebooks last April and ran into some odd texture issues when using brush pens and markers, but ghosting was light and I had very little feathering or bleed through. I'd just see a weird texture every now and then. The binding in my last B5 journal broke in three places after a month's use, though I never lost any pages. I attributed it to the soft-cover design and my heavy use. I love the B5 size though, and the paper was mostly decent, so I ordered the books again.I'm honestly baffled at this point.I started setting up a new journal today and I don't know what to say. The paper takes ink very smoothly, but it absorbs far too much of it. Colors appear much darker than normal, so ghosting is more obvious, and every marker that I use - Tombow and Artist Loft brush pens, Crayola Supertips and Stabilo fine point markers - bleeds through the paper. Additionally, fine liners and gel pens looks thicker and darker than normal. On some pages the ghosting is light and bleed through is minimal, but on some pages both are more noticeable. I don't know if this is a paper coating issue or what.I've attached a few images from one of these B5 notebooks that I bought last year compared to the new one that I'm setting up now, to show the difference. The older book is on the left and new one is on the right and the colors on each page are the same. You can see some odd texture under the brush pen marks on the left, but looking at the back of the page shows minimal ghosting and no bleed through. The new book on the right shows smooth ink, but it's much more saturated and dark, lines/text are excessively thick and every marker has bled through. I went on to test over 100 brush pens and markers and nearly all of them bled through the paper! I've also added a photo from the previous book showing the broken binding.I think RETTACY has some very notable quality control issues that it needs to look into. There shouldn't be so much variance between books and these inconsistencies need to be addressed. I don't know if I will buy these books again until they are. I just have no idea what I'm getting.

I use these notebooks for Journaling notes while reading books. I also draw in them illustrating the Journaling notes. Love the dotted lines for spacing, guidance allowing my creative flow in doing this.

Relación precio-calidad de 10, la pasta es muy suave y con el uso podría romperse, pero muy bien

Update: I just concluded the use of this (pink) journal at the end of 2023, so the better part of two years’ regular use. I was wrong about the cover, it held up wonderfully. The elastic did break off after about a year, but that was okay. I made a bullet journal for a friend with the other and gifted it. Highly recommend!I’ve been bullet journaling for about five years, and B5 journals are getting harder and harder to find. These were excellent for the price. The paper is great, I have used Tombow brush markers and felt pens with no bleeding or ghosting. I LOVE a journal with a pocket on the back cover, so that was nice too. My only concern is that the cover won’t hold up long—it bends easily, the rubber band had already indented both notebooks when they arrived. Still though, really excellent for the price.

Yes I am a proud sketcher, designer, & I love to Journal it all! We all have our favorite brands of journals we like and this is my GO-TO brand! I love the grid dots, and even find that I love the plain paper as well (no grid dots). I love the soft cover these books have because it makes it much easier to lay your journal flat to work in it. Keep in mind these soft covers are thick enough to hold up to daily use yet soft enough not to be a burden when laying open and flat. Love the soft pink color. Thank you for making such a sturdy product! I will be ordering more because it seems this particular size is getting hard to find and it is THE PERFECT SIZE!!!
