Only fish I use this wire tippet for is pike and some of em can get big so this is easy to use because it light weight, no wire crimps needed, easy to manipulate and tie knots with, so a definite must have for anybody fishing for pike anywhere. I also use this for salmon too, when flossing for salmon monofilament tends to get little cuts and scraps with rocks or with teeth and will break or snap on the bigger fish so i use this, it sinks faster than monofilament and last a lot longer too so it pretty much acts as a sink tip as well and it durable. This stuff can get kinked and it doesn't straighten out so well so you toss out after it kinks. Don't put split shot on the wire tippet either because once you remove them you get little bends and twist. All in all, a great alternative to pre-made wire leaders found in stores.

This wire bite tippet works great. It knots easily enough and is incredibly durable. My only problem with it is trying to cut it. It's pretty difficult and nippers don't really do the job.
