I finally got the right size and they're perfect! The padding is exactly where it should be. I use these when horseback riding and my rides have been much more comfortable. The higher waist is great since I'm older. They stretch in the right places and there's no binding

I gave 3 stars because they were inexpensive, the color is pretty nice (I got the turquoise), the padding is okay, and they arrived quickly. However, the quality on these is baaaaaad! The fabric is kind of thin so they ride up on your legs and the padding sticks way out- like from the front they make you look like you have huge labia majora, and from the back it looks like you’re wearing a big, stiff maxi pad! They look ridiculous! Also, typical of cheap bottoms, the waist has a thin elastic strip that is way too small so they cinch uncomfortably tightly around the waist. I kept these because I wanted to use them right away but I had to make a couple snips in the elastic waist to make them more comfortable, and I will only be wearing these in public if they’re under other clothes.

When I first tried these on I thought NO WAY! The padding area was very wide between my legs, and felt bulky and uncomfortable while I walked. HOWEVER, I decided to hop on the bike with them just to see and that uncomfortable feeling was instantly gone the second I got in the saddle. You don't feel the bulk or the width of the padded area because with your feet on the pedals it makes the space for the pad to fit perfectly between your legs and across the seat. It was instantly more comfortable once I got on.The padding isn't super thick, but the gel is nice and quite soft. It definitely made a difference. I am also pairing the shorts with a padded seat as well so that I can get maximum comfort while in the saddle.

These are decent bike shorts for the price. They definitely run large, I would 100% suggest sizing down. I got the black and even still they’re slightly sheer, I wouldn’t wear them on their own, but I bought them to wear under workout leggings and bike shorts while I ride and they fit under them seamlessly And do the job
