I got this set to crochet more easily along fabric edges; I found that the scribe and eyed awls are the most useful, since I can punch a hole large enough for my 3.5 mm crochet hook to fit through. The hooked awl is unfortunately not too great; I was hoping to use it on its own, but when I tried to pull it back through the fabric, it would constantly snag the threads. Despite that, it's a very affordable set and I'm happy with the ones I can use.
