I order this lens in July for an event my son had coming up. It says it has shipped and I still have not received them item. They had said the item shipped and I had received a full refund but still have yet to see the lens which he needs. Would not recommend ordering from this company at this time. If they make this right I will gladly give an update.

Rokinon offers a great product line. Well made. Durable. Perfect for the professional filmmaker with a low budget.I wish only they had a full 180 degree lens for the Canon Super35 sensors.

You can't beat Rokinon lenses for the price. Not only that, but the manual focus and aperture are actually better than high dollar brand-name auto-focus lenses for many applications, particularly DSLR filmmaking and time lapse work. That's why I own 6 Rokinon lenses, even though many of them duplicate my Canon lenses. There's not much to complain about here. Manual focus is long throw, and more precise than trying to manually focus an auto-focus lens.I see some reviews online where the reviewer complains about lack of electronics for focus confirmation. (Electronic focus confirmation is an available option in Rokinon Nikon mount products.)I think this is nonsense, something said by people who were born after auto focus became dominant, because of lack of experience and confidence. The opinion is also rooted, or supported, because lenses today are generally slower than in the past, a design economy made possible by higher ISO digital sensors.Auto focus is less reliable with a fast lens because of more shallow depth of field. Depth of field covers up focusing errors, but at the cost of putting a damper on creativity. These Rokinons are fast lenses, with large apertures and extremely shallow depth of field. In other words, perfect for anyone who is serious about the craft of photography and video and who understands what it takes to have exacting control of an image.Sure, I wish I owned Zeiss still lenses, or better yet Zeiss CP.2 cine variants. Or best of all, the emerging Zeiss Otus lenses. But until then, these Rokinons can really bring home the bacon. Given the choice of being a doer or a dreamer, get the Rokinons today.BTW - I believe the cine Rokinons are worth the extra money.
