Canvas is a little thin but perfect for my use. I bought this one in brown for a friend off of her wishlist for Christmas and immediately put one in green on mine once I saw it. I really love the green one for me. I haul all of my stuff to work in it. My friend rides the bus so needed something to haul her stuff around in too. Craftsmanship seems just fine and love the buckle straps on each side. I'm going to take this to Disney and Universal Studios when we go later this year since it's the perfect size to carry a few things with us...raincoats for everyone! Also, it has more pockets than I knew it did too. Front one zips sideways so kind of weird. Holds water bottles in the side pockets on both sides and i love that the buckle straps hold the water bottles in really tight so you don't lose one. The tiny pocket in the front top holds a really small wallet or some cards and cash but that's about it. I put my keys in that one. It's not big enough or sturdy enough to hold textbooks so wouldn't really be good for school. You are able to wash it though - I've already had to once and it came out just fine.

Sometimes I want to just carry a book, an IPad and lunch and this little bag is perfect.It's an undersized backpack and exactly what it says it is.. a book bag. Don't plan on carrying your gym equipment, shoes and towel in this bag because it won't fit. But, if you want a small, convenient, fashionable carryall, then I can certainly recommend this one. The material is tough canvas and it is faded so it doesn't have a harsh military look. Three small pockets can hold your keys and it has two bottle holders, one on each side, for your water, etc. This was a good purchase.
