I bought this for my elderly mother to use for meals in her room. When I put it together, it didn’t feel very sturdy and the tray top was flimsy and a little lopsided. It did the job but I ended up purchasing something more sturdy later.

Very light and easy to use. DON'T TRY to put a lot of weight on it as it WILL buckle/collapse. The very light weight tray adjusting bar is ABSOLUTELY terrible. I tried resting my elbows on it and thought the it was going to collapse. DON'T add any more weight or pressure than necessary.The concept is good but The design is flawed. I will end up adding some 1x1 support braces to the tray and legs. That should end the weakness of the lock bar but will also end the foldingability of the tray. I would rather have a tray that I can trust to hold my items. The folding part isn't that important.I tried to write on it and ended up up using a clipboard on my lap because it was more secure/stable. I tinker with a lot of things and was hoping this would be an ideal work platform as well as an eating one. I WAS WAY WRONG!I will only recommend this for small children up to have 12-14 max. Even then I would be extremely careful about how much activity/weight be put on this tray. I do use this for eating butam very careful about how much pressure I put on this if I need to cut up any of my food. There is a lip all the way around the tray that will help with spills or even resting a laptop/tableton for reading in one of the tilt positions. Again I caution the amount of pressure you apply. The surface is also VERY slick and items will slide very easily. I use a dish towel to rest my plateon so it doesn't move around.My overall opinion is buy at your on risk and be very mindful of how much use put on it.

Does what I need it to do. It is not the sturdiest tray table, but will hold a dinner plate or an old, heavy laptop, and slide under the couch. That's all I needed. Easy to put together.
