I've been relying on cordless power tools for a decade or two, but I needed something more robust to drill big holes in cherrywood. The Ryobi corded drill was the answer. It's still a lot of elbow grease to conquer this hard wood, but the Ryobi makes it doable and even fun. I'm even looking forward to my next project that will put this workhorse to the test.

Exactly what I needed. Wouldn't exactly call it light weight but it does a great job. Very pleased!

The old hammer drill finally died and I wanted something that worked well but didn't cost an arm and a leg. This one is it. So far it has worked great while using on cement. I worked great on the cement board also. So far a fine tool and worth the price paid.

Great price. No more than renting one for a day from a big box hardware store. I drilled about 5 concrete holes for different size Tapcon anchors. Did the job very handily with plenty of power. I used Milwaukee concrete drill bits which have a hexagonal base and locked in really well. I had seen some other review that round bits did not lock too well in the chuck, so I steered clear of Tapcon branded bits which were round. The only reservation I have is seeing the motor sparking a bit while its running at full power (through the housing slots). Doesn't seem to be a real issue, and it's more than paid for itself with 2 days of use. Would buy again!

La verdad es que nunca hice ningún proyecto en la casa ni tuve que usar un taladro hasta ahora pero dadas las circunstancias tuve que aventurarme y fue muy fácil hacer la instalación de una pieza de arte en el concreto. Compra las brocas correctas y listo!

Good basic hammer drill. Has the old style chuck with the included key for tightening instead of a hand tightened chuck.
