UPDATE: The bottom drawer, once it has a heavy load, can come off the side tracks if pulled out too far. HERE'S WHAT TO DO. Pull the entire rack away from the wall so that you can push the second drawer, the drawer just above the file drawer, back. That way you won't have to pull the file drawer too far forward in order to access folders. In fact, both the top and second drawers can be pushed back so there is lots of room to work with in accessing the folders in the bottom drawer. I've had this product for over a year now, and still find it attractive and a nice addition to my small office space. Even with a lot of contents, it wheels easily.

I can put a 15" diagonal laptop on the top shelf or in a drawer with room to spare. I have a large case that is 15 1/2" x 11 1/2" x 3 1/2" and it fits with no problem.The cart is light weight but quite sturdy. You can fill each drawer with paper and put a couple of reams of paper on the top shelf, about 50 lbs. Its a bit wobbly but the 16 bolts that hold it together make it strong enough. Like any such cart, if you fill the top shelf and drawers but leave the lower drawers empty it does have a tendency to tip.The cart moves easily on smooth floors on 4 castors (2 locking). To move it on a carpet you might have to lift one side a bit.(Hint: if you do have it on a carpet, you might glue the locks open otherwise they become a nuisance.)The assembly is easy. It takes about 1/2 to 1 hr. The parts are symmetrical so that you don't have any problem matching parts. It does need a 3/8" (?) socket to tighten the 16 bolts (you can get a small set of sockets for $10 or $15 and they do not have to be heavy weight). After putting one together, I put the others in probably 10 minutes). They've held together well, even with rolling around on carpet. The file drawers on the other carts are just a touch difficult to slide out, but they are filled and are heavy. With a lighter load they wouldn't have that problem. HIGHLY recommend for someone with a home office, looking to save some space.

The file drawers on the other carts are just a touch difficult to slide out, but they are filled and are heavy. With a lighter load they wouldn't have that problem. HIGHLY recommend for someone with a home office, looking to save some space.

I ordered the cart with the file drawer and two small drawers first....loved it so much I ordered the other two versions. They are super-easy to put together (took about 20 minutes on the first. After putting one together, I put the others in probably 10 minutes). They've held together well, even with rolling around on carpet. The file drawers on the other carts are just a touch difficult to slide out, but they are filled and are heavy. With a lighter load they wouldn't have that problem. HIGHLY recommend for someone with a home office, looking to save some space.
