I train Muay Thai every day of the week, and I have been kicking a leather full bag wearing only Sanabul gel socks, for five years now, because I'm stupid... and my now 60-year old legs are taking a beating... and I noticed my training intensity is dropping, and that is NoGo, especially as one ages.The older you get, the harder you have to go.I've used Sanabul Battle Forged gloves for years, and highly recommend them, so I finally got the shin guards to match.They are superb. Excellent purchase. Zero regret.I got size Small for my 12.5" inch shin (I'm 5'7") and I wear a size 8.5 shoe (not huge feet), but I have sweet calves (17").These guards fit perfectly, as if tailor made for me.I can kick full force with zero negative sensation in my foot, ankle, shin, knee or hip. Full force into and as if through the bag.My legs once again feel like cast iron wrapped in titanium. Trained so hard this afternoon I about had a heart attack.Battle Forged means Gold Standard gear, and these are incredibly well-built shin guards.I highly recommend.

I could have gotten a defect, or I could be being nit picky, but the guards I got were poor in workmanship. I’ve only used them for one session, but am already seeing the stitching coming loose in 2 spots. Other than this however, I enjoyed using them, they fit me nicely (I measured according to sizing chart), and they have good padding. Felt a little clunky at first but got used to it real quick.

I’m 6’3” and lean, I bought an XL and they are a little bit bigger than I would like. That said a L might have been better. Nothing flashy, that’s what I like about them. . Thick enough to protect from shin on shin strikes. They stay in place during training, no adjustments or slipping down. Overall, these are great for Mauy Thai/ MMA / striking. Happy with my purchase!

Looks, design and overall comfort, these shinguards have it all! I already own a slew of Sanabul products for BJJ so when i needed gear for Muay Thai it was a no brainer. I went with the Battleforged Shinguards and Gloves as well. I did not want to pay tons of money or a low low amount for gear so the BF line was a great fit for me. I ordered a small (trust the size chart) and they fit perfectly. The foot padding covers my foot and toes so I don't have to worry about injuries when i kick. The shin padding protects my shins when I'm kicking so well that when I've struck my sparring partners arms or other bones not protected I could barely feel it thanks to my shinguards. The straps secure the shinguards comfortably to my leg without any movement during my Muay Thai class. I love the brown color as it evokes a classical feel. I said it in the beginning and I'll say it again, I love the look and design of these. Sanabul did a phenomenal job making a superior product that looks and performs like it should've cost alot more. When it comes time for me to buy headgear I will be right back here! 10/10 would buy again and would recommend to anyone looking for a quality pair of shinguards without breaking the bank.
