This USB flash drive from Sandisk offers name-brand reliability combined with a fun, decorative Peely design. Peely, if you aren't aware, is a banana character from the popular game Fortnite; if you play, you're well familiar, and if you don't, you might still have heard about Peely from when Apple dressed up the character in a tuxedo for a court dispute. (Really. Yes, that Apple. Don't ask, it's a long story.)I used H2testw to test this key, and as you'd expect from Sandisk, it is a genuine key that works over the full capacity of the drive. It is, however, pretty slow: writing averages 33.4 MBytes/s, which means it takes a full hour to fill the whole drive. (Yikes!) Reading is faster at 129MBytes/s - you can read the whole thing in about 15 minutes. So not the fastest performance, and also no USB-C connector - this is a run of the mill several years old design dressed up in a banana suit. Which shouldn't come as a surprise, given the affordable price.If you do play Fortnite, a fan art wrap is provided in the form of a scratch off code inside the box. A nice little bonus on top of the USB key itself.And if you don't, you'll at least benefit because nobody is going to be able to claim they 'forgot' this silly banana-themed USB key was yours.

I can never seem to find a thumb drive when I need one. With two college students, they seem to grow legs rather quickly and either disappear forever or become exiled to a desk or backpack never to be seen again. I made the mistake of trying to reclaim one of these drives only to find it as full of homework and the case was sticky(!).So this SanDisk 128gb is perfect for me - distinct enough to prove that it is mine (and not some similarly-looking ambiguous drive; yet reliable enough to carry the SanDisk name. In fact, in my opinion, SanDisk is the gold standard for these things. Having used dozens of drives and SD cards over the years, I have yet to have a SanDisk drive fail where this has not been my experience with several of the "budget" brands.As you'd expect, the drive is recognized instantaneously when plugged into a USB slot, the transfer rate is fast, and the 128gb memory is enough to move files around as needed. Of course the unique benefit here is the exclusive Fortnite skin that comes with this drive. It's been a minute since I've played, but may need to hop back on to make use of it. But considering no one can claim that the Peely thumb drive is theirs, however this drive is used, grabbing it was definitely a victory royale!

This Peely flash drive is a cute nod to the popular Fortnite character. It offers a quick read speed and decent write speed. It is lightweight and has a loop to clip to your keys or lanyard. As a bonus, they throw in a fan art wrap that’s pretty cool. You redeem it in game to use with your weapons and/or vehicles. My only small complaint is I wish it was retractable.
