This worked well as a replacement. It had decent instructions. The worst part was removing the old knob because there are so many variations on how to find the tiny hidden release spot to get the old knob off. Had to research and watch YouTube videos to get the old one off first!

Lockset is sturdy and feels heavy. Instructions are easy to understand and very complete. Template leaves a lot to be desired, get an installation gauge tool for easier install on an uncut door.

I ordered a different door knob before from another vendor and it was very obviously poor quality, but this one was a world of difference.This door knob/lock was very much a quality door knob. You can feel it in the materials.I'm not a super-handy guy, but this was relatively simple to replace my old wonky door knob. I used this for entry door into garage.The description says the lock from inside is always unlocked but the one I received did not behave like this, similar to another review, the one I received locks on the inside (so you can tell if it's locked while on the inside) and I prefer it like this, so I'm glad it behaves like this instead of the way it's described.

A Schlage for this price? How can you go wrong? Easy to instal and so far works great. It would be nice if they would include 3 keys instead of only 2 keys.
