The instructions sheet mentions a blue LED that lights up when 12V charging is available. I never saw this on either the original product or the replacement that they sent in. I never saw any voltage out of the 12V side either, including when measuring with a light load attached. The first one they sent only had a female cigarette adapter. The second had a couple of additional cables, but that's a moot point as there is no output. Did not test the USB functionality -- assuming it works but there are many competing products that charge USB and only a few useful for charging shortwave radios (10-12VDC). Returned both units; the quest for USB + 12VDC continues...

En lo personal me funciona bien para cargar mi batería blue óptima, la cual use por 3 años y ahora que le pongo el panel solar 2.4 y me la mantiene cargada en 12.4 y antes se me bajaba la batería con la bomba de achique y tenía que ir a hechar andar mi motor antes de las lluvias. He quedado asombrado que después de una semana con lluvias y nublado, la checo y tiene 12.4 . Mi bote es de 17 pies. A lo mejor es la batería que usan por eso no les funciona . yo la puse directa a la batería y nunca la desconecto, aún y arrancado el motor sigue jalando.

Works well, keeps my car from dying from the drain in current due to my video camera. Could have come with a small flip out stand to prevent it from having water pooling on it during rain. Comes with super long wires. Good quality but seems a bit expensive. Wattage also seems to be low but this is meant to maintain, not charge. Could have come with rubber feets too to prevent scratching my car. Solved this problem by buying rubber feets and sticking it myself. Recommended to use with charge controller to avoid frying your battery.

El producto llego solo el panel solar mas no el control cuando intente hacer la reclamacion por ser un producto de AMAZON EEUU no me pueden ayudar con el envio del producto faltante y me sugieren que lo regrese y que lo vuelva a comprarDecepcionado tuve que comprar el controlador aparteMuy Mal de verdad
