THIS IS THE ONE! Bought this after watching a tutorial on Youtube from Rides of Japan. The tape is indeed everything. This replaces my old Stans rim tape. My carbon wheels have an inner width of 19mm but I followed instructions that I should add 4-5mm of extra rim tape width. This tape was perfect! Had trouble seating a pair of Pirelli Race TLR RS and couldn’t hold air. But once I cleaned the rim with Goo Be Gone and alcohol after, I taped the rim twice (2 layers) starting from the opposite side of the valve hole. Poked a surgically small hole using a pick/awl and pushed the tubeless valve with it. I’m using the NEW ultimate Silca Sealant and brushed a little sealant around the rim bed/valve area to create an air tight seal as per Josh instructions from Silca. And abrakadrabra! It just works! Popped the tyre bead on the rim like magic. Smooth like butter.

I used this for bike tubeless rim tape. It is a little thicker than some other tapes I have used. It functions just as well as tubeless-specific tape, but costs much less. It sticks to the rim well, seals well, and has held up for several months.

We got this because we read that it would be a good replacement for tubeless bike wheel set up, where the brand names like Stans and Muc-off cost so freaking much money. At first my son was saying it didn’t have any stickiness, but it turned out his rim was somehow kind of greasy despite being tubeless for years (he had to retape after replacing a couple spokes). I cleaned his whole rim thoroughly with acetone and now this tape sticks fantastic. I think it is just blue Stans.

Al principio estaba a un precio muy accesible tipo AliExpress y valía la pena no es de alta calidad pero funciona si lo cl.para al de Stans pero ahora que está super caro no lo recomiendo con ese precio te armas el original de Stans

The tape is identical to the tapes found holding appliance doors during shipping. Glad to have found this product. Unlike masking tape which will leave a residue glue on the surface, this tape is clean to remove.I just used it today on an installation where a plastic cover mould would not press fit into place on a large patio door between the door frame. Applied Silicone to the plastic divider, and held it in place with this multi purpose tape. Very strong adhesive; yet easily peels off. Great contractors trick to keep in the toolbox. And glad to see it was made in Canada!

I've used a variety of different tapes to convert standard bike rims to tubeless compatible, for both cyclocross and road applications. Stan's was expensive for the quantity I got, which doesn't leave much room for error. Unfortunately, I errored and couldn't hold air for much more than a day or two. Well, I didn't want to shell out more for the low quantity, so I tried Gorilla tape next. It's inexpensive, quite sticky, but I still wasn't getting a great seal. At least there was enough to try taping the rims multiple times... That tape was also quite thick, so mounting a tight road tire (Schwalbe pro one tubeless) was incredibly difficult. Then I found this Scotch packing tape. Inexpensive, thin, sticky, but not a bear to work with. No more messing around: starting with a bare rim, I first taped over each spoke hole individually, pressing out any air bubbles on each one. Then, because my rims are narrower than the tape, I unrolled the length I needed and cut it down the middle, length wise. Then I taped the rim keeping one half-width strip tight to the inside bottom of the sidewall, then used the second strip tight to the other side bottom of side wall. Pressed out all the air bubbles again and cut the opening for the Stan's valves.Go time: I had previously had an infuriating experience with Stan's tape, valves, and Hutchinson fusion tubeless tires. Many calories were burned and new expletives were created in the process of just getting that setup to seat properly with a floor pump. Lots of sealant was leaked onto my garage floor as well. This time around, I invested in Schwalbe's Pro One Tubeless. While they were a bear to mount, I simply injected my sealant, and pumped with my floor pump with barely more effort than a standard tube tire setup. No sealant was leaked. The seal on both wheels was perfect from the start. Pumped both tires to 80 psi and they've been holding all day.TLDR version? Great tape, great price, great performance so far. And lots left to use on my other wheels!
