Estudio de caso: Mazda CX-9 2019 utilizando amortiguador de resorte helicoidal DuraTPE
La instalación de búfer destacada está en un Mazda CX-9 2019 que agregó una elevación adicional de 0.75 pulgadas.
Los amortiguadores de tamaño B+ se utilizan en los muelles helicoidales delanteros/traseros.
Elige el tamaño adecuado para tu resorte helicoidal
Preparación
Para la instalación frontal, asegúrate de que el vehículo esté sobre una superficie dura (hormigón) y aplica el freno de estacionamiento. Coloca los bloques debajo de las ruedas traseras para evitar que el vehículo rode. Comprueba el manual del propietario de tu vehículo para ver los puntos de contacto adecuados y luego levanta cada neumático a su altura de servicio recomendada. Para una instalación segura y distribución del peso igual, coloca el gato debajo de los puntos de contacto correspondientes a cada rueda.
Mide el espaciado de resorte entre las bocinas
Una vez que cada neumático está correctamente elevado, el resorte helicoidal se relaja en la extensión completa. Se recomienda quitar la rueda para una instalación más fácil. Con un paño húmedo, limpia todos los desechos en tu resorte helicoidal antes de instalar este producto. (especialmente en el centro de 3 a 4 bocinas). Mide el espacio de resorte entre las bocinas para determinar qué tamaño del producto (A+. F) debe seleccionarse (ver Fig. 1, "D" para puntos de medición), mide la distancia central de 2 a 3 resortes, para obtener un promedio para la distancia de espaciamiento.
Consejos
Consejo 1: elige el producto H1 = D (o cerrar) (D: Vehículo levantado) Consejo 2: si la medición H1 es más grande que D, insertar en el resorte helicoidal puede ser demasiado difícil. Consejo: si H1 es más pequeño que D, insertar es mucho más fácil pero el soporte del amortiguador disminuye.
Recomendaciones
H2 = D para máx. Soporte (pero puede ser difícil de insertar en el resorte helicoidal). Elige el tamaño de búfer D > H2 pero D Si D más cerca de H2, habrá más elevación y apoyo

I ordered and fitted spacers that were at the maximum size for my spring size/spacing. I took measures of the rear wheel arch height above ground and tow ball height above ground for my car, both unloaded and with 240kg on the tow bar, and before and after fitting the spacers (4 sets of measures). Immediately after fitting, I measured, unloaded, an increase in wheel arch height of 13mm and tow ball height of 30+mm. When loaded, the height increases were 30mm for wheel arch and and 35mm for the tow ball compared to the loaded height without the spacers. Not great, but some help in stopping rear 'sag' under load.After a trip of 2,000km with the caravan and its 240mm tow ball load, I took new measurements. All the initial gains were gone. All the measures (wheel arch height and tow ball height, loaded and unloaded) were returned to the pre-fitting levels.... and, yes, they are still in their fitted place (see photo).The product performance is extremely poor in this application.

I installed new Monroe TS 171352 struts on my 2004 Toyota Tacoma. Just as some reviewers pointed out about this strut, the spring is not as stiff as the original. The ride is smooth, but the front end bottomed out when going over bumps particularly at slow speeds. I expected much better from Monroe. I was not interested in changing out the Monroe struts as it was a BEACH to put them on. Therefore, I decided to try some sort of spring stiffener. Researching what was out there, I came across the Rubber Dura Shox Shock website. The reviews were favorable, the product appeared suited for my needs, and the price was low enough to give it a try.I measured per instructions and ordered a DuraSHOCK CSB Super "F". I could have gone with the "E" size but decided on the smaller because I was not interested in lifting the truck but only to improve spring stiffness. I installed the DuraSHOCK the day after receiving them. It took me less than an hour to install and did not even have to remove the wheels. It was pretty easy once I figured out a better approach than what the instructions say. I did use WD40 and first tried to install as instructed but quickly saw this as a frustrating battle. I then decided to first seat the bottom grove onto the spring while wrapping it around. After the bottom was seated, starting in the middle, I used a blunt 1/4" flat blade screwdriver to push the top inner edge/lip under the spring and worked my way to one end. Then repeated the same process from the middle to the other end. It worked like a charm. Zip tied those suckers and took off for a test drive. Went across the first speed bump that the Monroe's always bottomed out on. The DuraSHOCK worked great. The truck did not bottom out and the ride was back to normal with a slightly stiffer handling. The DuraSHOCK was a great improvement to my truck's handling and ride.

I received my coil spring buffers , kind of weird to get 1 clean and one with car dirt on it .Does not look like it was installed , but then again why is it dirty ?Package came open , I also noticed some cracks on the rubber in the same place on both items .Will the cracks prevent them from lasting ? Any ways they look lots bigger than what I expected them to be , I hope they do the job , don't want to return them since I'm in Canada ...Update on the install , A Bog waste of money . Had one hell of a time installing these , I cut a small amount like they show in video and still I had a hard time installing them (I'm a trained professional mechanic by trade too) I measured the height from before 30-1/2 inches from ground to edge of front fender , After I installed them I drove my 04 Outback around the block and back and the only thing I noticed was a stiffer steering and a bumpy ride .I did not get any lift what so ever , it still sits at 30-1/2 inches ....I would have repackage them and return them but I cut a 1/4" as the instructions claim to do for the install , I'm stuck with an expensive nothing .....FOLLOW-UPOut of the Blue I received a $5.58 Refund , don't know why . Overall price was $64.75 with import fees @ $8.32 ...This must be a Joke for the sudden refund .
