This was a very inexpensive pedal for my Janome 1600P. Considering what they wanted for the name brand one, this one works perfectly. I was very happy with it and it seems to be a fairly good quality foot pedal.

The Viking store in Joann's tried to charge me $150 for a Viking pedal stating the machine would know the difference. The only thing different about this pedal and the Viking pedal is the color. They are both a pedal with a power cord and prongs to insert into the machine. Thank you for saving me a crazy amount of money!

Didn't work and no way of trouble shooting if it's the item (being a non brand item) or the machine. When I looked into returning the item the postage is exorbitant. Waste of money... should have paid more and got the proper brand one from a brand shop.
