Bought in 2017 - still as water ready in 2023! Sick of replacing overpriced, cheap plastic clamp-on lights for your canoe? ME TOO! In 2017 I made a set of cleats to use for lighting on my canoe. I used this fold-down all-around light for the stern cleat... and attach the wires to a battery pack I made via a SLA "Y" connector. I've been flagged down by a couple of DNR wardens in my state and complimented on the setup. This unit has countless hours of use on it, packs well, gives off great light, and I'm still using the original bulb 6 years later. Buy with confidence!

It is nice that the light is removable and folds because I can tuck it when I'm not using it and I switched the bulb to LED

I do and its great, its actually too bright, blinds me in the boat so i can't see where i'm going as good, have to have a really bright front light. It lights up the inside of boat and that is helpful , would be visible from a great distance so an excellent safety device. So nice how it folds down for trailering or storage. Highly recommend.

Good light for the price. It's short but that's what to be expected . If you want a tall light you need to buy the tall one . Provides lots of light in the back of boat. Easy flip up and down . Lots of people said it was cheap and breaks easy . If you know how to turn a knob and you're not an oger you shouldn't have any trouble .
