I was instantly impressed with the feel of the material and how well made it looks to be. I got the 3/4” bit and the diameter of the holes drilled are exactly 3/4”. There is absolutely no side to side wobble to the bit like some other bits that I’ve tried in the past. I used it in some thinner sheet metal and initially it wasn’t cutting too well but once I slowed the drill speed it started to cut the holes nicely, not the fastest cutting but it makes a nice clean hole. It came with 2 pilot drill bits with springs on them. It also came with an allen key to tighten the pilot drill bit.So far I’m very happy with the performance of the hole saw. Time will tell on the longevity but after drilling half a dozen holes in sheet metal it appears to be just as sharp as it was when I drilled the first hole.

Little torn on this one. It was getting close to three stars, but in the end I gave it four. My first order arrived with only a closed plastic case and nothing inside it. Always a joy to do a return when you’re returning nothing and feel like a cheat. That could be on Amazon though.Second order actually included the cutter, but everything was loose in the shipping bag. Case had opened. Could have been solved with a piece of tape. No obvious damage though. Includes two pilot drills which are both split point and coated. I ran the cutter without a pilot drill in my mill though.First, I don’t like the thick powdercoat on the shank. Makes it hard to get an accurate hold in the chuck. I wire wheeled all that crap off. The cutter appeared to run pretty true with minimal runout, and the carbide teeth all seemed in plane. The carbide teeth were also well ground with the nice variable geometry you expect in a good annular cutter.When I started running the cutter in mild steel though, WHOA, chatter like CRAZY. I couldn’t figure out why. I dropped the mill down to 80rpm and it cut fine then, but that’s crazy slow. I kept moving it up in speed and after ~300rpm it started to want to chatter again. I’m kind of thinking with the relatively thin sidewall and big hole in the side for ejecting cut material that the tool just isn’t rigid enough. I also noticed a tendency for chip bogging which also could have been contributing to the chatter.It’s hard to get a properly ground carbide cutter in this price range, so I’m giving it four stars, but unless there was just something wonky on mine that I couldn’t identify, expect to run it at low RPM with frequent chip cleaning and not cut anything crazy thick.

This was purchased by mistake as the plan was to use it on wood, but the build quality is great and I will not hesitate to use it on my next metal project! I will edit this review once it is used further.
