This is an extremely cute set of salt and pepper shakers. When it arrived, and we unpacked the shipping box, this was in a plain, branded cardboard box, which was kind of disappointing. However upon opening that, we got to the actual packaging, which has a printed card base inside a clear plastic box so you can see the item from all angles. The problem is, the plastic box is EXTREMELY flimsy, bending and warping from just handling, and that means the "tophat" plastic that goes on hello kitty's head and the apple to stabilize them didn't work, it just shifted around and the apple was loose (thankfully not chipped) in the clear package. This really needs a thicker printed cardboard background that folds over at the top and holds hello kitty and the apple more securely.Aside from questionable and ineffective packaging to protect the fragile contents, the only other complaint is that the color match on the hello kitty is off. It's less pink for the jumper and bow and more of a mauve, which was kind of disappointing when expecting it to look like the picture. Still, it's a cute set, and only one star off for its shortcomings.

A perfectly adorable salt ‘n’ pepper shaker set, this ceramic Hello Kitty and apple nestle together and almost look like a sculpture. You could probably put them on a shelf as a decorative object and no one would bat an eye. But if you plan to use them for spices, there are small plastic stoppers at the bottom of each piece. Grains of salt and pepper shake out pretty evenly from the three holes on the top of each container.As another reviewer has mentioned, the packaging was quite flimsy. The plastic box on mine had completely collapsed in on itself during shipping. But my Hello Kitty arrived in good condition despite that; I would just caution that you double-check everything if you plan to give this as a gift to ensure it’s whole before wrapping it up.

This Silver Buffalo Sanrio Hello Kitty Salt and Pepper Shaker Set is adorable! I love Hello Kitty and this is a great addition to my kitchen table. This salt and pepper shaker set is made well and it's made of ceramic. It's durable. I got the multi pink set with Hello Kitty and the apple. They can be set together for apart. They're also larger than I thought they would be, so I'm very happy with the size. This set it hand wash only and not dishwasher safe. I've also already received compliments on my adorable salt and pepper shakers!
