I though this would be great for a road trip because it filters the water. Sometimes the local water in someplace new will throw your system off, even coffee and meals can taste a bit different and upset your system. This is just one less thing to worry about.

My sons and I used these on a recent backpacking trip. Our main water sources were relatively stagnant lakes, with lots of little sea bugs and fish. The water did not always look good inside the bottle, but the filtration system kept the water fresh and clean coming into our mouths. When we filled the bottles from a spring, I couldn't tell a difference in taste.I was worried about some reviews stating it was difficult to suck the water through the straw. This was not an issue. I also liked how the design kept the mouth piece clean and protected, and there was no leakage. I also liked having the included carabiners to attach to our packs.I'd definitely buy again.

Haven't use yet but is what I wanted. Recommend. Purchased this and filters here for first time. Have heard great things about this from others. Glad I purchased them for power outages, hiking, camping and more. Will always have clean water on hand and a cup to drink it. Will update review if anything changes, good or bad. Certainly seems durable enough to last awhile.

I took this on an overnight backpacking trip in the Alabama wilderness. Right off the bat my pack was much lighter than those of my mates who brought entire gallon jugs. My plan was to bring in enough water for the way in, refill at the the mountain stream at the end of the trail (since it was very likely to be safe even without filtering), and use that for the way back. Just one problem: the way back was entirely uphill and I severely underestimated the amount of water I would need. I ended up needing to refill at a shallow stream part of the way up. The water was muddy and the stream was only a few inches deep, if that. To my surprise, the water tasted great! It has been over 24 hours and while I am sore from the hike, I am not sick. This thing works! Only thing to keep in mind it is that the filter takes up some room in the bottle, meaning it fits less water than a non-filtered bottle of the same size.

I was looking for a portable purifier water bottle because I recently had an organ transplant and needed something portable to ensure I could drink safe water no matter where I went. This product filters not only for taste and particulate matter, but also neutralizes or filters out bacteria and microorganisms that would otherwise potentially put my health at risk (being that I am on immune-suppressing medications). I love the material of the bottle, which seems sturdy, yet slightly pliable BPA-free construction. The taste of of the water from this purifier bottle is superb. I also like the carry handle, which is wide, enabling you to place several fingers through it (versus a small ring that only fits allows one finger). It also comes with a small carabiner to attach it to a belt loop or backpack.The one con, which may be a barrier for some people, is that you do need to suck on the spout/straw with some force in order to propel the water through the filter and then into your mouth. However, the spout/straw is thick material and therefore seems like it will last a long time.I definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for a portable water filter bottle that gives you confidence you are drinking safe, clean water every time.
