I've had several of these Slime tire compressors, and the motor has never has a problem, and this more recent one seems to be a little more efficient than previously. I like the clip-on tire valve stem connector better than the previous Slime tire inflator that had a screw-on tire valve stem connector, which started to malfunctiion after a number of years. One weak point is the tip of the accessory charge plug tends to unscrew and come loose sometimes, creating a spotty connection, or worse fall off, and I've had to search for it in the console compartment, carrying bag or, in this most recent instance on the floor on the side of my driver's seat, and then screw it back on. I'm thinking of adding a touch of superglue to keep that from happening. I've never had to replace the little fuse inside the plug, so... Although this last time I made sure to tighten it as much as possible manually, and I think a second attempt did sinch it up a bit more--I hope that holds it

Convenient and easy to use. Inflates with reasonable speed.

I bought Slime 40030 to replace the old one. This model is analog but I like it much better than the the Slime 40063 Digital model (which I bought for my other house thinking the digital setting is easier to use) because 40030 is light weight and delivers the tire pressure exactly what it shows on the gauge. On the contrary, the 40063 with Digital setting always gave 2 psi lower than what was set. Not a good performance.I am going to buy another Slime 40030, and returning the Digital version, which is by the way almost twice the price.

I needed a portable compressor after gifting my 60 gal one to my son for his business. It was apparent that I needed one when both my wife vehicle tires and mine received the dread low tire pressure warning. I went with Slime due to my owning one for over a decade so I thought they would be adequate to fill a tire in a pinch. This model cost $71 and it was rated for SUV which is my vehicle. The compressor only has cigarette plug so if you vehicle doe not a cigarette plug you out of luck. It comes with an additional hose for longer runs with 3 additional accessories for inflating balls or floatation device.Using the compressor on battery only it will not inflate a tire in 3 minutes from flat status. Using the compressor while the vehicle is running might but I did not do this test. The gauge is not accurate it was off by 5 psi not good on a model you fork over $71. That alone is making me doubt the purchase of this unit. For durability, time will tell and I hope it last as long as my son. This compressor will travel with me on my long trips and will not be taking space in my trunk for in town driving.
