Fantastic tool. I have a professional full size drill press and I use this little guy. Great small size and very easy.

Pros:Compact Design: The small size of this benchtop drill press makes it suitable for limited workshop spaces and small-scale projects.Precision Drilling: The tool's design allows for accurate and controlled drilling, making it ideal for tasks that require precision.3-Speed Options: The availability of multiple speed settings enhances versatility, accommodating a range of materials and drilling needs.Sturdy Build: The benchtop drill press is generally well-constructed, providing stability and durability during use.Cons:Limited Capacity: The compact size might limit the tool's capacity for drilling larger and deeper holes compared to larger drill presses.Power: The tool's power might be limited when compared to heavy-duty drill presses, so it's better suited for lighter tasks.Opinion:The Small Benchtop Drill Press (DRL-300.00) is a valuable addition to workshops or spaces where limited room is a consideration. Its compact size doesn't compromise its precision, making it a suitable tool for tasks that require accurate drilling. The availability of multiple speed settings adds to its versatility, enabling users to adapt to different materials and projects. While it might not have the capacity for larger or deeper holes like its larger counterparts, it performs well within its intended scope. Its sturdy construction and 3-speed functionality contribute to a reliable and useful tool for hobbyists, DIY enthusiasts, and those with limited workspace.

Difficile de controler et mesurer la profondeur du trou à percer. Et, difficile de controler la vitesse de rotation (la vitesse minimun est trop élevée même si les documents affichent une vitesse minimum de 0 pour chaque position de la courroie)

I've been using this drill press for many months now. I can't express how much I love it! It's such a nice small size, and it's really sturdy metal construction. The only limit I've discovered, is that the drill can only be lowered an inch. But, my workaround for that, is to lower the bit as much as possible (buying a long bit would be best), then, after you start drilling, lift your object up to drill a thicker piece. So, it's not the answer to all your drilling needs in a drill press, as it's limited on how thick your piece can be, but you can do more with it than you might think. My only actual complaint is that it's hard to adjust the height. The top portion is really heavy, and it's difficult to turn the crank/handle to loosen it, so you can slide it up and down. You might want to just adjust it 1/4 inch up or down, but that's really hard to do. Once you loosen the machine on the post, it's up to you to hold onto it and try to just lift it or lower it where you want it, hold it in place, and try to crank the lever to tighten it in place. Not a smooth or easy thing to do. With practice, it's getting easier, but it would be really nice if there was a way to just crank it up or down with a wheel or something, rather than just the all or nothing loosening and then wishing you had three hands to hold onto it, and adjust it carefully, then hold it in place while also trying to turn the lever to tighten it in place. That's kind of crazy and awkward. But, overall, I'm thrilled with it and expect it will live longer than I will.

First, the drill press seems to work fine. As another poster mentioned, I was surprised that it does have a speed control knob, and starting at low speed, it can't even spin the chuck. (If you run it fast and then slow down, it keeps running, but the power at low speed is pretty much nil.) But it gave me nice precision control drilling holes in 1/8" aluminum stock. But a few things that I would call sloppy or maybe "fit and finish". First, the table was covered with oil. I understand that oil is part of the manufacturing process, and it surely prevented the table from rusting, but it was excessive. Even the product box had oil stains, and I had to unpack it with paper towels. On the other hand, the collar where the plunge lever screws in WAS rusty. It was hard to screw in the lever. I'm not sure I have it all the way in even now (and I put some lubricant on it).The plunge lever seems to be geared rather coarsely. As you pull it down, it does not feel smooth. I did not notice a problem with the actual drill head moving jumpily, so I'll put this in the fit and finish category.Apparently someone took to heart a couple of the earlier complaints: Mine has a spare belt. The manual is perfectly ok English, but it is really only a 1-page flier with a photo and labelled parts. It does not say very much.Packaging: It came in a shipping box a few inches bigger in two dimensions than the product box, and it had a single piece of paper crammed into one side. It was completely lose on all the other sides. That did not SEEM to be a problem, until I got it all together and noticed that the vent on the top of the belt cover was partly broken. I don't know if that was from packing, and it does not really cause a problem. It is just symptomatic of either poor packing or handing. To summarize: I would probably buy this again. It does what I want it to do very inexpensively. Just pay attention to the price and avoid expectations that would go with a many-hundred-dollar tool.
