Needed the "double-bubble" type insulation fastened to our steel garage roof deck. Used these and some flat discs (sorta like large thin fender washers) made for doing this kind of thing. Once I finally found the proper screw bit to use that fit these screws tightly, not allowing them to wobble when being driven by my impact driver, they worked great! I was putting quite a bunch of torque to them as well - much more than I've used on lesser-quality 1/4x20 bolts before they snapped even, and they all took it with stride. I drove probably 250 of them into the 12 gauge steel framing and I think I only snapped two or three.

Horrible... A pesar de la punta autoperforante no entran, la punta no tiene filo. Tuve que recurrir a otros tornillos para iniciar la perforación y terminar el trabajo con éstos. Los compré para acelerar mi trabajo y terminé perdiendo el tiempo y mi dinero.

Took a few bourbon barrels home from the brewery at I work, cut them in half, then I used these screws to secure the hoop to the barrel so it wouldn't fall off.These things worked like a charm. They screwed in so easily and they didn't protrude through the stave.

These are great for steel stud work. They have a low profile head that drywallers like. The drill tip makes these exceptional. They can make there way through heavy gauge metals. I will buy more...

These are much better than anticipated, the self tapping is actually strong enough to tap through aluminum and I was able to torque them down and not one of them ever broke and the Phillips head and never slipped or bent up the screw head like cheap screws often do.I was going to connect some thing using rivets but after using these I won’t be using the rivets these are much stronger, feels like aircraft hardened steel screws
