As the other reviewer noted, this does require a neutral wire to power the sensor.

I needed motion sensor switches that would work in a 3-way setup in a shared stairwell and I didn't want to buy a whole ecosystem of smart devices to make this happen. The older version of this model looked promising but it seems it's getting phased out by Leviton. It wasn't clear at first glance whether this updated version would also work in a 3-way config.The real reason to buy these things, which is buried in technical errata on Leviton's site, is that up to 5 of these switches can be grouped into a wireless network, and then any switch in the network triggers any other switch. No smart home integration necessary. No 3-way or 4-way wiring necessary. The switches don't even have to be on the same circuit. Dead simple.I didn't necessarily need anything this sophisticated, as I already have the 3-way wiring, but I was missing a neutral at the remote switch, preferred the look of this switch over the older generation, and couldn't find the "no-neutral" version of this switch anywhere. I turned the unused traveler wire into a neutral and everything works brilliantly. When the downstairs switch activates you can hear the upstairs switch click instantly.The app is convenient, but unless you're installing these in bulk it's not going to be saving you loads of time. Still, the app has some extras you won't find in regular motion sensors, like the ability to configure a nightlight in multiple colors and brightness levels.Even though I feel this is a five star product, Leviton deserves to lose a star for its shoddy documentation and confusing product lineup. There's absolutely no excuse for the company to release a radically different product under the exact same model number. It also makes no sense that the updated residential line of these switches is now harder to install and use than the commercial line.
