This is my second kit I’ve bought of these. They work awesome. The other day I messed up on a wire. So I thought I wonder how well the heat shrink ALONE holds the wire. So I put just the wire in and heat shrunk them. Let them cool. HOLDS SOLID. I was fully betting I could pull them apart. I could not without breaking the wire. The ONLY a complaint I have is the red/pink connectors seem to be smaller than a normal red butt connection. But other than that I use them a lot. Along with the ratcheting crimp tool it’s a win win.

While the heat shrink is convenient, it is easily torn or distorted during the process of crimping the wire

Quality product, thick crimp metal makes for very secure connections. Price was very good, especially compared to the same product styles sold in auto parts stores. I rewired my son's boat electrical system using these connectors and a dual heat (700/1000 degree) heat gun. It made the task go a lot faster than if I had used separate heat shrink tubing to cover the connections. The red and blue connectors shrunk quickly using the 700 degree setting, but the yellow needed the 1000 degree heat to shrink just as quickly. A word of caution: Do Not Prolong the Heating Process or Overheat the Shrink Tubing.
