This will keep someone from grabbing your tablet of the stand and running away with it, but it won't keep someone from slowly slidingy your device outside of the bracket with slow and steady force. I was able to slip it to the left and out with constand pressure. There are rubber-like dense pads on the top and bottom to keep the device from marring your tablet, and if you had your tablet in a rubber case, it would be even harder, but in future models, a locking bracket running the other direction would ensure this is truly anti-theft, though someone could take a dremel/sawzall to it to the brackets holding the tablet, I suppose. As far as the device goes, the build is pretty good, the install is easy and the all-around swivel capability is awesome. I dropped my tablet unlocking the lock, because I didn't bother to hold the bottom of the tablet or bracket while unlocking the device, and one side of the bracket immediately fell to its fully open position, sending my tablet flying. So, hold it while unlocking, less you end up with the same fate. The tablet is fine. You get a key for loosening and tightening the two bolts that provide swivel functionality. To end, this is a solid recommend for open areas or closed areas with trusted friends, but don't take your eye off of it for to long, because that single-directional locking bracket is a weak point for keeping your tablet safe.

The product is very strong and sturdy and it’s good for your office space. Love how easy it is to mount on the wall and the fact that it comes with the tools for a DIY project. Highly recommended for anyone working or crafting at your desk and having easy access to tour tablet when mounted on the wall and it also comes with a set of keys that you can lock it.

This iPad wall mount is very sturdy and stable. I fixed it in the kitchen so I could watch a movie while cooking. It hold my iPad so tightly. It won't fall off no matter how I move it .Very practical.
