I bought these for mounting my 2 cell phones (work and personal) in my vehicle. 2 magnet rings and 4 metal adhesive rings were supplied for attaching to other objects.I could not get them to stick to any of the textured surfaces in my truck, but opted for an alternative smooth service below the radio. I had to re-apply a 3M spray adhesive to get them tacky again.They have been working great and are barely noticeable! Magnet strength is superb and I have never had my phones fall.I bought two more in white for drywall, and have had no problems with application or adhesion. Placing the supplied metal ring between the phone and case blocked wireless charging, so I upgraded to a magnetic case.

I had a housing to fit this into but the item is larger than the advertised size and it doesn’t fit.

I put these around my room where I often found myself struggling to put my phone down on a safe surface. By the door and next to my vanity.The adhesive also holds up well in the bathroom. I put one next to the mirror and even one in the shower (away from the spray of water, so I can listen to podcasts when there isn’t a Bluetooth speaker around).The adhesive is strong though. When I removed one, it took the paint with it. I found out while repainting the bathroom, so I just repainted the missing ring, but you can still see the outline of it. I don’t mind but it’s something to consider if you’re a renter.These are magnets so it needs metal to work. I have a piece of metal on the back of my phone case since I have a magnet phone holder in my car. I haven’t tried to use it with my bare iPhone and don’t plan to risk it.Overall, these are super helpful and stylish in my opinion. They aren’t an eyesore and are unobtrusive.
