Attaches to kayak rail perfectly (Old Town brand). Really like the fact that it works with both open and closed reels. Much more secure and convenient than the kayak's standard "holes", and I can position them where it works best for me.

These track-mounted rod holders are perfect for kayak tracks, and work well with a tried and true adjustable design. The track mounts easily screw into place on the tracks, and the rod holder post slides in and is locked into place by the sliding lock. These are nice and sturdy and hold a variety of rod and reel types securely.

This rod holder is well made and designed. It's easy to use and seems strong. It's versatile to use multiple ways. It's super easy to slide into the mounting rail.

This is my second order of rod holders for my kayak. I first ordered one rod holder, then our angling law changed allowing us to use a second rod. This set has a better base for holding the rod holder. On my first holder, the only way to set the forward or backward direction of the rod depended on how tightly the base is attached to the track. With this set you can adjust the angle from front to back without loosening or tightening the base. This means you can firmly attach the base to the track and then set the rod angle from the kayak to an appropriate angle. For example, there is a narrow culvert connecting two lakes. I can set the rods straight astern when I paddle through the culvert without having to remove them from the holder.Another advantage with this base is that it is open. This allows me to stick my finger down on the bolt used to hold the base to the track making it easy to insert the base onto the track.
