These look and work as promised; easy to install. My only issue is that they hang down a lower on the counter than I had wanted, but they're still ok. the price seems a little high.

The holes on the back of the chin rest are not drilled on the pencil lines the manufacture put there for that purpose and even if they were, they were drilled so oversized and the adjuster pieces that are supposed to screw in just slide in and fall right back out - there is no way to attached the metal adjusters to the chin rest. The chin rest is completely unusable as sold.The chin rest itself is not bad and looks fairly nice. I'm not sure what it is made of, but it definitely looks like some of the ebony I've worked with in the past in my woodshop. The metal pieces are made well enough. The screw-together parts (not counting the rest) work fine without being too loose or too tight. The piece of cork that comes with it has no adhesive on either side and is just a rectangular strip - it has to be cut to length, but that, and spraying some 3M adhesive on one side, is not a big deal.While most of the chin rest looks fine and certainly all one could ask for for the price, the fact that they can't drill a proper sized hole makes the rest completely unusable. I sent the one I received back to Amazon and will try a different (more expensive) brand

Pegs don't screw in at all. Holes are too big. Falls right off.

Like the quality but it did not arrive with the pieces to hold the screws into the chin rest itself. We had to find a way to make the screws stat in the chin rest so it could be put on the violin. There were no instructions either
