I use these in my calming area in my classroom. Many kids I work with have sensory issues, or autism and they find that these cute little feeling pads are amazing. It helps kids calm down and focus on the different textures. I have them find me their favorite feel and it usually calms them down and gets them distracted from their meltdown. I highly recommend for teachers or anyone working with small children.

This review is for the following item: Special Supplies Sensory Zoo Tactile Animal Pads, 12 Set, Stimulation for Kids, Supports Autistic and Processing Challenges, Calming and Stimulating Early Learning Play, Includes Velvet Travel BagI am disappointed in these sensory touch pads. They are made out of what appears to be a stiffened felt material. Those cute little animal heads are not going to stay nice and flat and look cute for very long at all. The bottom section where the different "touchable" material is, is thin and most of them feel the same. There is very little difference in the touchable area as far as texture goes. Yes there is one with sequins and one that has a bit of longer shag like material, but the others are just soft and nothing special about them at all.I feel the price is insanely high for items that are basically made out of a felt like material. I also have no idea how you would clean these without them losing their stiffness.These are made for children and children have a tendency to be a bit rough with their toys. I don't think these are going to last long at all. I can't recommend this set of sensory touch pads.
