1 very high-quality rubber2- Definitely better quality than the OEM Grommet.3- Price is very reasonable and I would definitely purchase this again.4- if this is your first time working on your fuel tank, or you’re a good shade tree and still fight with reinstallation, I took the time to write some very helpful tips and tricks for removal and reinstallation of a fuel tank. specifically related to getting the new grommet reinstalled without destroying it!Hopefully they’ll help someone out..*** HOW TO USE/ TIPS AND TRICKS ***** I strongly recommend cleaning the Entire tank, inside and out before installing your new grommet!!!This is A rare opportunity which provides 100% access to the inside and outside of the fuel tank. Thus, after removal of the old grommet it is very easy to clean the inside of your gas tank and remove all of the old particles. Note* are used a half a gallon of fuel to rents and shake around inside the tank and then poured the gas and the trash into a white pan to see everything that had been removed.WHY? Removing all the trash and debris is better for the entire fuel system and will limit fuel pump picking up trash from the bottom of the fuel tank.~This is an excellent time to examine your entire tank, looking for any rust, or damage.***SAFTEY INSPECTION ***while the fuel tank is off,• spraying down the underneath components of the car. A clean undercarriage ensures ::A- not dirt falls into your clean fuel tank,B- ensure eye safety to prevent dirt etc from falling into your eyes.C-, This is a rare opportunity to actually clean this area of your car. So why not take an extra five minutes and give this area a good cleaning.D- now that this area is clean, you can actually examine your fuel lines, all of your bolts insertion points, and see if any areas are showing signs of rust or deterioration. I recommend using a spray silicone on all the boat insertion points to prevent rust and it also makes reinserting boats easier.D-, if your bolts were rusty , oxidized, or difficult to remove? If so ; the factory thread lock has hardened and gummed up the bolt threads and it needs to be removed!!.• My favorite method is the wire brush on a grinder. You can also use a wire brush I or a drill with a brush attachment. However you choose to clean these boats is fine, the important thing is that there is no residue inside of the threads. I coat mine with a little marine grade grease to prevent oxidation..~* My Philosophy is: do it RIGHT the first time, OR when will you MAKE time to do it again a second time.” That being said, I took advantage of the situation and detail cleaned the entire underneath fuel compartment area, and inside the back of the wheels. Lastly, I went all out on the fuel tank.I am 100% certain, I will never have rust on my fuel tank again, I’m 100% positive there is no trash in my fuel tank, and I am 100% positive that the newly installed grommet has zero cracks.•TIP FOR EASIER INSTALLATION•• Put your new grommet in a sock, and put it in the clothing dryer for approximately 20 minutes. * This will make it so much easier to install the Gromit into the tank.• INSTALLATION OF FUEL TANK WITH NEW GROMMET:1- Secure the gas Fill neck underneath the car using Zip ties or wire. *I ran wire through the metal back collar. This will make installation And removal of your fuel tank 100% easier!NOTE** . i(This TIP is only applicable if you unscrewed the top end of the fuel necklocated Inside the gas door)2- Make sure the fuel neck is NOT MOVING! Using my tip or another method. A non moving fuel neck will ensure you do not destroy the new tank grommet while inserting the fuel neck into the tank.**3- COAT THE GROMMET with a SMALL AMOUNT of grease , Thus will make reinstalling fuel Neck through grommet 100% easier.4- Now push your tank onto fuel neck.5- Once you’ve reached the point where securing the neck is an obstacle,• untie it,• Reconnect top end, *the screws inside the fuel door.6- And your final push should have the fuel tank in the position so that the straps can be reinstalled and all of your houses etc.****^^^Ugly Fuel tank ? Here’s a fix :*******I found surface rust on the top of our tank, so as a precautionary measure I wire brushed all of the rust off, washed the tank with a good degreaser, taped off all the components that we’re not Metal i.e. Gas lines and electrical connections.* to prevent any future surface rust, which could eventually go through the entire tank, I sprayed the entire gas tank with bedliner. It was just what I had sitting around, and I was absolutely shocked and thrilled at how amazing this gas tank looked when we reinstalled it!

Fits perfectly. Sprayed it down with WD40 and was able to install easily with a little help from a flathead screwdriver.
