Once you have these you will use them. Rye finish is awesome and you can do so many things with these. I have the Left and Neutral cutter now as well.

The thickness of the tool holder is almost too big for my Vevor 7x14 mini lathe. My fault for not selecting a smaller size. Nevertheless, I was able to hack together something that works.My purpose was to do finishing cuts to remove tool marks from my rough cuts. It does that very well.I start with a 3 thou cut and repeat until I get rid of earlier tool marks. As long as I do shallow cuts it will work for about anything. BTW I'm turning 1/4" steel rebar which is a tough chew for a small lathe.I'm pleased and would buy again (except a smaller holder).

Fits 5/8 tool holders well. The tool itself appears to be well made and has held up so far. I will say, it is worth upgrading the inserts as the ones it comes with are not the best quality. The round profile leaves nice surface finishes, and a nice 5mm radius on corners.

these things work great on mild steel .Nice finish ,fast cutting ,good chips , long lasting .Best of all No broken tips like you get with triangular insertsA+++
