ill be the first to say I have enjoyed Stagg's SH line of cymbals. They have had just the right amount of sizzle and brilliance without being harsh. I opted to purchase this splash to have something on my right hand coming off of the ride cymbal instead of crossing hands to hit the crash... unfortunately this splash didnt deliver what i was looking for......... i instead acquired a 10" Wuhan splash. They can't all be porkchops or we wont have any hotdogs.

It's my first Stagg cymbal. My first thoughts are that it's good for stacking but I am not a huge fan of the sound on it's own. Sounds less like the glass breaking sound you want and more dark, trashy and almost gongy. I sandwiched it between a 10" Sabian B8 splash and an 8" cracked zildjian A splash and it sounds beautiful stacked. That is what I bought it for so no complaints considering how cheap it was, but it's 3 stars on it's own merits for me.

A great sounding cymbal at a great price! I should have bought another. If you see these, get one when you can!
