Not quite as easy to set up or run as the website makes it sound. There's some involved instructions to set the Steam Dock up to even be able to switch screens. And even after it's set up, pressing the button on the back just brings up the selection screen that you have to use the touch screen to activate, and that can be tricky. It works, but it's clunky. And it doesn't automatically find the screen, although that might be my screen's problem rather than the dock. That being said, the dock itself is great. The fan isn't too loud, you can add an extra SSD hard drive for more game storage, it definitely makes it easier to use with a computer screen for a larger screen experience.I'd say this is a must-have accessory for a Steam Deck

This is an excellent accessory to a Steam Deck if you want to play Steam Games on your television set instead of on a desktop PC. SO it's excellent for shared Steam game experiences. Here's my specific use case: my daughter and I like the game Balatro, but we like to play it in a laid-back manner in the living room and not crouched over the small screen of the Steam deck. I've tried other solutions (like streaming devices and converters that were for streamers) but all of them had slight disadvantages. Not so with this item. With this item I could: connect the Docking Station to the TV via an HDMI cable, connect the Steam deck to the docking station via the supplied USB C-type connector, and we were almost immediately in business. There was some angst at first with the display not showing on either the TV or the Deck, but after checking the cables checking the documentation, and restarting, the problem disappeared. I believe it was a matter of the output signal for the Steam deck. So, if you encounter this issue, do not give up. Have patience and try restarting. This problem hasn't returned in future sessions, so I believe it was either user error or the Steam Deck having trouble realizing I had an alternate "monitor" attached. What's even better: the dock allows me to connect a wired controller to the Steam deck, meaning that I can put the dock and deck down and sit on the couch and play. The docking station has fans to cool the deck, which they do a good job of. However, if you're holding the deck in your hands, it's a little awkward and the fans chill your hands (which is uncomfortable). This problem is eliminated if you use a wired or wireless controller with your Steam deck.I highly recommend this product if you play the way I do.

I got this to use with my Rog Ally (EXTREME!) and in general it works as advertised. There are some issues though that I want to highlight. I already have a dock that works fine, but wanted one with more ports and I liked the idea of the fans. So for my testing I removed my current dock and put this in the same place. I use the dock for playing games on my TV with an official X-Box One wireless controller.1. I have had USB ports wear out on my devices, so prefer to use a magnetic USB adapter. This works fine with my current dock, but would not work with this dock. Instead I would either get no HDMI picture, or the picture would work for a couple seconds, turn off for a couple seconds, repeat. I believe this may be an issue with this dock only supporting HDMI 2.0 and not 2.1. It did work when plugging it in directly, without the magnetic connector.2. The dock interferes with the X-Box controller reception. I was not able to play games in my normal position and had to move closer to the dock before it would work properly. Again, I do not have this issue with my other dock.A couple other niggles:- You have to manually turn the fans on/off- Would like software to allow me to turn off the RGB- The box and the product are a reasonable size, but the User Guide is printed on a business card sized folding piece of paper in super tiny font.So does it work? Yes. Since this is something I will be plugging/unplugging on a daily basis, I really don't like that I can't use my magnet connectors. But the deal killer for me is the negative effect on the X-Box controller. This would be fine if I was using this dock on a desk or other place, but doesn't work for my use.

I ordered this dock so that I could play Steam Games on the big screen with my family. Setting everything up was straight forward. I connected the HDMI and power to the dock and then the USB C cable to the Steam Deck. The dock does not come with its own power supply, so the one that came with the Steam Deck must be used. Once everything is connected, the Steam interface shows up on the big screen. One issue I had with connecting the Steam Deck is that the dock uses a 90-degree USB C connector. This makes it impossible to use with my protective cover. The cover gets in the way of the USB cable. If they would have opted for a straight connector, I could have connected it fine without removing the cover. One of the things that set this dock apart from the others is the fact that it has four USB 3.0 ports. This makes it easy to attach four wired controllers. That being said, I wish the arrangement of the USB ports was stacked vertically instead of horizontally. I want to use the 8-bitdo adapters with the Steam Deck rather than the native Bluetooth, but because of the arrangement of the USB ports, I can't fit four adapters to the dock without a USB hub.The fans work well enough. They're removable, but I'm unsure why I would ever do that. The fans have a separate on/off button that enables three speeds. When the fans are on, LEDs light up. What's interesting is that increasing the fan speed also increases the LED brightness. The quality of the dock itself is good. Everything is well made. The Steam Deck fits comfortably. It feels like a premium product.Overall, I am impressed with this dock. It's a good alternative to the first party dock. There are a few design choices that I would have made differently, but it does what it intends to do.

I had high hopes for the YCBUENO 13-in-1 Docking Station, and in many ways, it delivered. The design is sleek, compact, and fits perfectly on a desk without taking up too much space. It offers an excellent variety of ports, which made it a great all-in-one hub for connecting multiple devices—HDMI, USB-C, Ethernet, SD card slots, and more. The build quality also felt solid, and the overall user experience, at first, was impressive.Functionally, it worked flawlessly out of the box. I loved how easy it was to connect my peripherals and external displays, and the power delivery seemed convenient. As someone who values clean setup aesthetics and productivity, I really loved the design and functionality this docking station offered. However, I ran into a serious issue that significantly impacted my overall experience. After leaving my ASUS ROG ALLY Z1X plugged into the dock overnight to charge, the device stopped working entirely. I strongly believe the dock caused an electrical issue that fried the motherboard, which forced me to file a warranty claim. That situation turned a great product into a potential liability. This could have been an easy 5-star product based on its looks, port variety, and ease of use—but such a major failure drops it to a 3-star rating for me. I would recommend it only with a strong caution: do not leave sensitive or expensive electronics plugged in unattended, especially overnight.
