I tried this life vest on our 3 mo old 16 pounds (a chubby no neck little babe) and although it did clip on and seem very secure and safe and soft for the little it just seemed too tight. The babe didn’t fuss over it but just looked uncomfortable. We ended up going with an infant vest that didn’t clip around the neck but has chest clips instead.

no es para nada util , lo probamos con dos niños de distinto peso y en ambos casos tenia la tendencia de irse hacia un costado , muy poca estabilidad.no aporta seguridad

Not suitable for kids that want to swim on their bellies. My daughter is tiny and the 30+lb puddle jumpers are a bit too big but still work well. I wanted to try this because all the reviews said it would fit really well for kids under 30lbs. IT DOES FIT PERFECTLY! She’s almost 3 but 24.5lbs.BUT (with me next to her) she kept flipping over and her head went under water when she tried to swim. It’s designed for a much younger child that will just float and let mom hold him/her. If my daughter would have just relaxed and floated on her back and let the life jacket so it’s job then it would be fine. But she wanted to swim! She would lean forward and the foam on the chest would stop her from leaning forward so she would roll to her side and before she could catch her balance her head would dip under. We attempted to let her swim two more times before taking it off. It happened each time.

I purchased this for my gson. He is about 27lbs. Right at the top of the cutoff for weight. So I wasn't sure if it would fit. It is alittle snug, but will work great. I purchase this for him to use as a lifevest in a kayak/ boat and also as a swimmer for the pool, so I wouldn't have to buy 2 seperate items, and it seems to be very comfortable, great fabric. As opposed to other life vests

I started using this with my daughter in the pool at the beginning of summer when she was a little over 1 year. It's a bit tricky to get on and off. She didn't mind wearing it out of the water, but once we get in the water it severely tips her on her back and she HATES that. I know, I know, that is the life jacket working how it is supposed to work, but it's not comfortable. You can't actually swim in this life jacket, only float on your back. As she got older and got that cute round toddler tummy, it stopped fitting well and by the time she was about 16 months old at the end of the summer, it barely fit. I would say this would be a good purchase if you plan on going out in a boat with your young child frequently. For swimming, it doesn't really work.

I got this for our daughter to use on our family vaction to Jay peak indoor water park in VT. It looks very cute fits size wise good our Daughters is 8.5 months old and is 17.5lbs and just around 28/29 inches tall. I found a few draw backs to this life vest one is you must flop your poor child front back front back to get all the zippers and clips done. :-( It zips up the back clips in the front by the chin / Neck the the leg straps run between the legs and clip on the back side. The second issue was the zipper does not always stay zipped all the way to the top. :-( That's not a great thing seen that is the only part that holds the two sides closed. :-( And the last thing is it definitely rides up the Baby's body pushing up at there neck and chin once they are in the water and makes them fuss and not happy. Over all it gets the job done and does make sure the baby can float on the back I did notice that when I put heron her back to check water would get on the head / neck pad and was going into her ears and if she turned her head into her mouth and nose some when she flopped her arms. This was us checking the safety features and what not. I would be scared if in the event a child fell into the water and no one was around to help pretty much with in a few minutes the baby especially one older and bigger may cause themselves to chock on the water and be stuck face up and puke. I would use lots of care and attention with this vest. It's my first time using one on such a small child so maybe it's just my Mom fears over working.:-(
