Needed a small ladle for small containers of soup. Works well.

These were the perfect scoop spoons for rice! They are built well and are made of thick plastic material with no bend to them at all. Compact in size but the scoop portion is large. Worked with no issues with several pots of rice and made it fine through the dishwasher each time also.

I'm sure everyone knows and has seen the standard rice serving spoon. Paddle shaped with a textured body that is good for scooping up very minimal amounts of rice and dishing them onto your plate.While it works well enough and gets the job done I often found it lacking due to the fact that when you're moving around and working fast you tend to spill more rice than you collect. It wasn't good at collecting larger amounts of rice because - you guessed it - you spill more than you serve and frankly I always found the textured body unappealing if I'm being honest. I know it has a purpose, to keep your rice from sliding right off considering the weakness of the paddle shape but again if that was fixed there'd be no need.Using this spoon right away I was satisfied. Rather than a round ladle-like shape that would do the deed I find the rectangular shape is far superior. You get more rice scooped up and considering the general shape of rice cooker pots it works well at dipping into the pot and capturing a decent amount.No texture means no crumbly bits stuck to your spoon and makes it much easier to clean. Basic white so not much to repeat in terms of the appearance. But the price for two spoons is absolutely excellent. Highly recommend this.
