Nice charcoal drawing paper with a slight texture. The charcoal can be smoothly applied, blended and adjusted as needed. The paper is thin and the tape on the borders must be carefully removed to avoid tearing. Workable Fixatif and Matte Finish are useful in preserving the drawings.

Llegó a tiempo y en perfecto estado. Este bloc tiene una mejor selección de colores que la que strathmore habia manejado anteriormente, en especial grises y negro. El papel es muy suave y aunque es un papel de poco gramaje al ser 100% algodón es perfecto para pastel.

To use charcoals effectively, quality charcoal paper is not an option. It’s a mandate. I suggest cutting the first large pieces into quarters, doing some experimentation, and then working on a full page charcoal illustration… Just to play it safe, atop an A3-caliber-sized light table with a clearly defined of a photograph or illustration to illuminate for easy outline copyimyanf reproduction. Just be sure to keep quality artist’s gum eraser close at hand to clean up any randomly misplaced markings.

Like every other member of the Strathmore 500 series line this is excellent paper. Used for charcoal and light pastels. Holds up very well.

I bought this thinking that there would be equal number of tinted sheets for each color but as it turns out there were only 3 whites and 6 black sheets (which I dont really need as I draw with black charcoal) for no reason. wished there were more white sheets in there. I think the sheets are randomly picked and bound together.
