I used to pay so much more by purchasing these individually at a national beauty retailer. Now, I splurge and buy a pack that lasts a year or two depending on how often I wear these. The gold takes a while to lose its gold-tone/tarnish. Even better, they secure on the back with locking posts. I’ve pierced at-home using these and a sterilized sewing needle—no sanitation issues at all.

These are nice and sturdy earrings. Beforewarned though, they are thicker than normal earrings. Someone else said in a review they were 18 gauge but to me they seem closer to 16. They hurt to put in as I normally wear the typical 20 gauge earrings, but I’m okay with it if it will stretch the holes a bit and maybe keep them from closing up so easily in the future. After having them in for a few hours, they’re a bit sore to move around because of how thick the posts are but they look great. The backs stay on very well, too.

These are very attractive studs and well worth keeping after they have served their studly purpose. If you pierce your own ears or others, these are probably the best choice since they will work great for any size ear and they are a great complement as a second or third piercing.

Nice sturdy cardboard packaging. Earrings individually packed-so you can wear what you need and save the rest securely for anothet time. Earrings are 18 gauge (post thickness), which are a little thicker than "normal" 20 gauge size, but still easily insertable. The backs lock, so they are very secure for long term wear (they are a little tough to snap open/closed, but nothing inpossible). The post looks short, but they actually fit snuggly against my ear lobes without being tight (maybe 6mm long). The balls are bigger than expected from the product description of 2mm.They are more like 3mm size balls-still nice though. Not completely ball shaped, more like a domed ball top with a flat part on the surface against your ear. No big deal, still looks round from front. The back size is my only peeve, being used to tiny, almost invisible labret backs, these backs seem large and more crowded due to my multiple piercings. The gold color is also VERY authentic looking. My ears are tingling a little with these earring in them-but this could be due to putting 3 pairs in at once.I' ll know pretty soon if the earring material irritates my ears and will post an update if they do. Overall a fantastic buy and value.

I have birds and they love to bite shiny things. If I don't wear earrings my holes close up. So, I needed to have earrings that could stay in and be sort of bird proof -- they have bitten through hollow earrings and put dents in others.These work! These are the minis which are very small, but they are solid, and very comfortable to wear all the time.Now if I could only get the birds to understand, "Leave it".
